ROOST Detroit

This place is top notch. Since opening as the new roost in Detroit I have stayed there for every movement festival. The building is gorgeous, and is in a great location for walking to the festival. The rooms are filled to the gills with everything you need. Washer and dryer, knives pots and pans. They even supply with coffee beans and have a coffee grinder for the coffee machine. The beds are super comfy. And most importantly the staff is amazing. Not one year have they given us trouble coming back from the festival after midnight all tipsy with friends and guests we make to reset at the room and go hit the after parties. Easily one of my favorite places to stay lately.

If you’re looking for a nice place to stay in Detroit and have never been to the city, The Roost - Detroit is the optimal choice. I was incredibly impressed with the amenities and quality of service. I hope to stay here again soon.

Very noisy hotel and the amenity fee is such a rip off (you gets 2x10 dollars so called breakfast voucher and a free DIA ticket for the 35 dollar amenity fee and a $10 drink coupon that doesn't cover a single drink for 2 occupancy rooml at least the sheraton seattle had an amenity fee that was actually usable. The 20 dollar breakfast gets u 2 cookies and 2 pastries and 2 drip coffees which isn't even a real breakfast. I had to insist on getting the free DIA ticket and the front desk at first didn't know what I was talking about at all and had to go figure it out.
There was loud pipe noises throughout the night that kept me awake and then the car alarms for entire street went off in the morning. While the bathroom has nice amenties, there was no slippers so you just had to walk on the wet floor.

The room also was smaller than it seems based on the sq footage because they have it semi broken up by a wall for the bed and den ish space.
The washing machine I didn't use but apparently was a Bosch.

Lastly
Do not use agoda to book this hotel. It is the only booking engine that doesn't include the amenity rate and claims to include breakfast when all bookings must pay the amenity fee and there is no breakfast otherwise. The hotel also wasn't that nice about it but I guess it is a third party rate. I never had a problem with agoda previously but clearly it was intentional to charge a false rate that includes breakfast.

Wonderful venue for our daughter’s wedding! Architecture is stunning, staff was attentive, extra cleaning provided, surprisingly quiet, and everything was perfect. Rooftop bar, Kampers hosted happy hour with skyline views. The banquet in the atrium was gorgeous and the Roost rooms are all apartments. We love the D and this didn’t disappoint.

Rooms are comfy, bedding is great. Like your own apartment in the heart of downtown. Everything is walkable! Shopping, food, events, it’s all right there :)

One of the best apartment space to stay. Not budget friendly for sure, would love to see the price to be more competitive.

A beautiful and fantastic space! We enjoyed every minute there while coming for a wedding weekend. Comfortable, modern rooms, great bars and restaurants onsite, and exemplary staff and service. We loved our time there and will happily return.

Absolutely amazing experience and atmosphere. The Roost was clean, orderly, and provided access tot some of the most amazing bars and restaurants. The property manager Kim was extremely helpful! With this being a Government/business trip certain accounting tasks had to be done and she quickly and easily helped with that. The amenities available in the room were amazing, a Fully furnished room without having to pay for every little thing. I loved the complimentary coffee and water in the room as well as “The Study” in the second floor where you could quietly get work done and of course… FREE COFFEE. Great experience and value for our money.

Phenomenal property. The revitalization was comprehensive. Great staff. We had the most wonderful room in a convenient location.

City view, all the restaurants and fresh cookies!

First, this hotel is gorgeous with amazing architecture and art throughout the building, on every floor, and throughout the rooms.

The rooms were so convenient being fully furnished and complementary coffee and water.

Most of all, the manager Kim was absolutely amazing. We had problems with how we would have to pay before coming because we work the local Government but she fixed our problem in a day. We checked in and she knew me by name, extremely friendly, respectful, and always helpful. She even allowed my coworker to change rooms because he was out in the wrong one.

Will definitely be back!!

ALSO!!! The bar on the roof was one of the funnest experiences I’ve ever had.

I stayed at the Roost Detroit for a wedding and felt like I was in Lyon, France once again! The bathroom and kitchen amenities were of high, European quality and the staff provided friendly, professional, and prompt service. They made me feel welcome and valued.

The location was perfect. Lots of places to walk to and very pretty historical buildings. The staff was so welcoming and willing to help every step of the way. From the valet and door man, to front desk and wait staff, super exceptional! The rooms were immaculate and huge!

We were in Detroit for a concert, the Roost was walking distance to the arena, the various bars and restaurants inside were great. The room was huge, the kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean.

I've been to many hotels for multi-day business meetings over the past 5 years. My group of 11 people, all executives, felt this was the best site of all the sites we've stayed at. The meeting room (Linden), was perfect, and the rooms were delightful. I especially enjoyed being able to sit on a comfortable couch in the morning and have a quiet moment to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee - freshly ground beans & no pods - each morning before my line up of business meetings. The fridge & microwave allowed by to reheat leftovers from restaurant food, so it did not go to waste. Lots of walk-able restaurants in the area - I would recommend this site in a heartbeat!

The hotel is spectacular …. starting with the valet he was very helpful. The people at the reception desk were very friendly and kind. All staff working the wedding reception did a fantastic job, which made my daughter‘s wedding a fabulous experience😜
