Breakfast was excellent. One small problem..we could have done with a walk in shower for my husband...difficulty in climbing into bath to have a shower...no handles to hold onto getting in and out and bath surface very slippery. we managed but with a great deal of difficulty.
Just the shower
Delicious Sunday lunch & lovely spacious accommodation with a very comfortable bed 👍
I would have liked to have a roll top bath, but apart from that nothing.
Molto tipica, accogliente e raccolta
The pub was full of character, food was outstanding, and the staff attentive. All this in a beautiful location.
Everything! The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Food was incredible. Lovely friendly owners/staff. We would love to come back and stay again.

Nice, peaceful location and beautiful inn. Our room was perfect. The option to dine outside (weather was perfect) was great. Staff were great.
Breakfast was nice but we felt a few corners had been cut and there could have been a little more generosity with butter, milk, water and a few condiments on offer.
The fire alarm waking us up at 6.30 am ! ok not the Inns fault these things happen but when all the guests gathered outside there was no one from the Inn to help, no one to meet the fire brigade when they turned up 40 minutes later, at 7.10 am ,no one but the guests to show the firemen around,
no one but the guests to find the fire alarm board! The firemen were shocked. Then we had no apology , a simple apology would have sufficed! The manager turned up at appropriately 7.45 am ,just after the fire brigade had climbed up to the roof done all room checks and turned the fire alarm off at 7.40 am. So the guests spent just over an hour standing outside. Totally shocked no body had turned up to sort out the fire alarm and the fire brigade! Surely someone must have been linked to the alarm. Finally the manager actually managed to accuse me of ringing for the fire brigade, he should have apologised , that accusation was very insulting! I kept saying I was asleep when the alarm went off, none of the guests rang the fire brigade they were all sound asleep and woken by the fire alarm. He should have apologised to all the guests re no staff on site to deal with fire alarm and fire brigade. I did then write a direct email but no one bothered to replied so I’ve written the review!
The Inn was full of Charm and was in a beautiful location. Wonderful area to walk and enjoy a truly quaint old Cotswold village. The restuarant food was very good and well beyond the pub food I was expecting.
Our rooms were located in a hallway shared by the mens restroom which can get a little noisy.
My 86 year old mother occupied the room over the beer garden and at times found the noise to interfere with the peaceful setting in the evening hours.
It was unseasonably hot during our stay and the heat made the rooms uncomfortable until later in the evenings, I would suggest some fans be provided to blow in some outside air through the windows during such times.
Semplicemente eccellente!
The building itself is a lovely old building and the pub downstairs is fun.
I hate to leave a bad review but we were disappointed. The fire alarm went off around 6 in the morning. The guests all evacuated and the fire truck eventually showed up to check on things and turn off the alarm. The manager showed up about an hour later. I understand if they don't have staff on site but someone should be close by in emergencies. Also, We arrived in some very hot weather. I know that old buildings can't always have AC but we were told they had no fans. The manager later said all the rooms had fans so someone isn't truthful. It was an uncomfortable night.
Struttura tipica tradizionale inglese di grande charme. Servizio attento e cordiale. Ottime cene. Ampio parcheggio.
Character, excellent staff with Assistant Manager and really special food and menu
Nothing
Position and old world charm
Closed bar early as it was quiet and no evening food on a Sunday
