I booked a 5-night stay at The Grandeur Hotel through Booking.com. However, I was disappointed with the additional charges requested by the hotel.

Although my original booking did not specify that children would be accompanying us, I expected the hotel to offer a reasonable and transparent solution.

The manager informed me that upgrading to a larger “Lux” (deluxe) room was not possible due to availability. However, in booking.com upgrading to this room category, which measures 72 m² compared to our current 48 m² room, would have cost only an additional 480 GEL.

Instead, the hotel offered to add an extra bed to our existing room and requested an additional 800 GEL for the 5-night stay. I find this price unreasonable and difficult to justify.

My question is simple: If upgrading to a significantly larger room would have cost only 480 GEL extra, how can adding a single extra bed to our existing room justify an additional charge of 800 GEL?

I believe hotel pricing policies should be fair, transparent, and reasonable. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed and negatively affected my impression of the hotel.

I hope the management will review this situation and reconsider whether such pricing is fair to its guests. A hotel should aim to make its guests feel welcome, not leave them feeling overcharged.

Pros:

Okro, anri and saba were very nice and very attentive, they are very helpful, they always try to make our journey more and more comfortable. The Hotel itself is amazing, the rooms are very large and clean, also the views from the rooms are amazing, close to the airport and the location is very nice in front of the hotel is boulvard. I am very satisfied with the stay hwre. Thanks a lot.
