The Neela Boutique Hotel Stone Town

Ideally situated to discover Stone Town, nice little restaurant, very friendly staff, great breakfast.

I only stayed one night at The Neela, my final night in Zanzibar, and it was the perfect way to close out the trip.

The service here is genuinely exceptional. Staff were attentive, warm and truly personalised in their approach, going above and beyond in ways I have honestly not experienced even some at larger five star properties. The attention to detail throughout was impressive and felt effortless.

The property itself is spotless and beautifully designed, sitting right in the heart of Stone Town with easy walking access to all the main highlights of the area. The beach, souvenir stores and major attractions are all nearby and super safe to walk around. Straightforward transfers to the airport when it was time to leave.

Breakfast and dinner were both included and served across their breakfast area and rooftop restaurant. The menu curation was thoughtful and the portion sizes generous. A lovely way to spend the final evening and morning of a trip.

One night was not enough and I will absolutely be returning.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les délicates attentions réservées pour notre voyage de noces : la superbe décoration du lit à notre arrivée ainsi que les délicieuses collations mises à notre disposition. Ces petites attentions ont rendu notre séjour encore plus mémorable.

Le restaurant sur le rooftop est un véritable atout, offrant une excellente cuisine dans une ambiance très agréable.

Enfin, un immense merci à toute l’équipe. Le professionnalisme, la gentillesse et la qualité du service ont été irréprochables du début à la fin.

Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans la moindre hésitation.

Pili is wonderful, she’s right on top of things, and there, if you ever need anything, and especially if you have children! so was Elizabeth, both were warm and accommodating, and made sure we felt right at home! This is the best location in town and the food is absolutely fabulous! I love their lounge and roof, great hang, Sea breeze and chill boutique vibes ~

Location and the fact that it was a historical building refurbished into a hotel

We had the most incredible stay at this luxury hotel! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Stone Town, yet only a quick 4-minute walk to the beach.

Our room was spectacular. It was a fully equipped smart room with incredibly luxurious amenities. Since we were celebrating our wedding, the team beautifully decorated our bed and even surprised us with a thoughtful gift. It really made our trip feel extra special.

The staff here is exceptional: so friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed. A huge special shoutout to Panel and Otman for taking such great care of us!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious. To top it all off, the hotel generously provided us with a late check-out. This was a massive help since we had a night flight, allowing us to relax right up until we had to leave for the airport.

If you are looking for top-tier luxury and convenience in Stone Town, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend!

An elegant and quiet boutique hotel. Outside is the hustle and bustle of Stone Town. Beautifully appointment bedroom, great food and the best coffee in Zanzibar! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was well looked after by Lance and his helpful and friendly team.
