New, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. It was very close to the bus station for Shkoder and easy to get to from the airport.

This hotel has some good things, but they deserve nothing positive to be written.
Booked the hotel for two nights.
Left the room at 9am and returned at 4pm. Were amazed to find out room was not cleaned. Called the reception and heard that "there were many checkout today and we did not make it". Asked to speak with hotel manager, and replied that all management is on weekend vacation.
We have been in hundreds of hotels in dozens of countries. Never ever experienced something such poor performance and total lack of sense of customer care!
Approached Accor customer service (the owner of Mercure Hotels chain) immadiately after, and got a reply that: "we have personally shared your comments with the Mercure Tirana leadership team. They are reviewing the points you raised carefully and will contact you directly to discuss your experience and work towards restoring your confidence."
Nothing happened, nobody called, no directly and not indirectly.
I understand that the entire system in Mercure sucks.
Beautiful hotel, great value, breakfast was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
