A gem in the rock
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Stone Sky. From the moment we arrived the staff was extremely helpful. They helped park our car and carried our luggage up all the steps. You do have to be able to climb steps there but it is worth every one. The outdoor dining with a beautiful view made it hard to want to eat anyplace else. A short walk out the back gate and you are in the old town ready to explore the sites. The breakfast was wonderful as were all the meals. The staff was ready to help whenever we needed it. Our room was extremely comfortable and well equipped. This is the place to stay!

Pros:

Es ist wunderbar ruhig. Über eine "Geheimtür" gelangt man durch ruhige Gassen zur Burg und in die sehr lebhafte Basarstraße. Problemlos, um auch abends auf einen Cocktail in die Stadt zu gelangen.
Eigentlich ist das aber gar nicht nötig. Das Hotel hat einen sehr schönen Außenbeleuchtung, wo man gepflegt trinken und Essen kann.
Ich empfehle das Restaurant!!! Das Essen war von allerbester Qualität. Unbedingt dort essen.
Das Frühstück wird am Tisch serviert und ist sehr gut. Alles andere, über die Zimmer etc. wurde hier ja schon beschrieben. Parken ist auch problemlos. Wie überall in Albanien wird der Autoschlüssel an der Rezeption abgegeben. Die Autos werden dann ggf umgeparkt. Parkplatz ist überall knapp.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt jedenfalls sehr genossen.

Cons:

Wenn überhaupt, dann vielleicht, dass die Vorhänge das Zimmer nicht wirklich verdunkeln.

Mooi hotel op een fijne locatie dichtbij het centrum
Pros:

Stone Sky Hotel heeft een mooie ligging, dichtbij het centrum. De kamer was mooi en comfortabel, met als fijne extra een bad. Het eten was heerlijk en ook het ontbijt was erg goed. Daarnaast konden we voor de deur parkeren en was het personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Cons:

Eigenlijk viel er niets tegen, maar het hotel is minder geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. Dat geldt overigens voor een groot deel van de stad, door de hoogteverschillen en steile stukken.

Pros:

Hotel ligt prachtig in de berg onder kasteelruïne. Mooi uitzicht kleinschalig mooi gerenoveerd, behulpzaam personeel. Alleen parkeren op openbare weg maar geen probleem. Fantastisch ontbijt.

Da simpatia dos funcionários , do quarto espaçoso e confortável e do pequeno-almoço e jantar. Muitíssimo bom!
Até agora,.o melhor pequeno-almoço da Albânia.

Cons:

Não é bem não gostar, é mais um alerta. A localização, apesar de bonita e de o hotel ter um terraço super simpático para o pequeno-almoço e jantar, impõe alguns desafios a subir para a cidade velha em calçada tradicional que não é muito fácil para quem não esteja em boa forma fisica. Mas toda a cidade velha é assim!! Atenção a isso! Encontrar a entrada do hotel também não é fácil. Felizmente, os funcionários do hotel tratam de ir estacionar o carro..
Do que não gostámos mesmo foi de o quarto não ter cortinas com blackout. Entra luz às 5h da.manhã.
De resto, tudo perfeito!

We had a wonderful stay in Gjirokastër. The staff were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even helped carry our luggage up what felt like six flights of stairs, which was greatly appreciated. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay.

The breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection and delicious food each morning. The room was spotlessly clean, modern, and comfortable, and the luxurious bathtub was a real highlight after a day of exploring.

The location is excellent—close to everything, yet peaceful. There is a convenient shortcut that takes you into the Old Town in about seven minutes on foot, making it easy to explore all that Gjirokastër has to offer.

We would highly recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

Pros:

De gastvrijheid, zeer proper, mooi en goed gelegen, aangenaam vertoeven, verzorgd ontbijt op mooi terras

Cons:

Niets. We waren blij met hulp bij bagage dragen, want de vele trappen maken het een uitdaging. Bij een langer verblijf dan 1 nacht, is iets ruimere kamer wel mooi meegenomen. Anders kan het met bagage toch krap worden.
