A great stay at doms
Pros:

The location was amazing. Surrounded by a beautiful church and great restaurants. The swimming pool was as good as the photos Small but did the job.

Cons:

We stayed in the second building which was fine but in the bathroom it smelt a bit at times. The service was fine and on arrival the staff were very accommodating. The building was then unstaffed for long periods. Luckily we didn't need anything but I can't say the staff were amazing as they weren't there for the majority of the trip.

Fabulous location and lived up to the photos.
Staff were excellent and always offering to assist in any way.
Breakfast across in the Square Bar Gastro was excellent.

Cons:

Shower at pool didn’t work which is vital for time of year to keep pool clean from sun lotions etc.

Schönes Hotel mit Abstrichen…
Pros:

Die Lage in Mellieha war traumhaft. Das Zimmer war ansprechend groß und das Bett sehr gut. Der Whirlpool auf unserem Balkon war super. Gefreut haben wir uns über die kleine Aufmerksamkeit vom Hotel. Zimmerreinigung war sehr gut.

Cons:

Die Armaturen im Bad müssten erneuert werden. Uns haben Ablagemöglichkeiten für unsere Kleidung gefehlt. Der Teppich im Fahrstuhl muss unbedingt ausgewechselt werden. Dieser riecht sehr stark. Leider hat uns das Frühstück nicht gefallen. Es gibt jeden Tag das Gleiche auf der Etagere (2 Brötchen, Salami, Käse, Croissant, Obst) zusätzliches wie Eier müssen extra bezahlt werden. Ein wenig Abwechslung wäre schön. Vielleicht mal Joghurt, etc. Eventuell den Winter mal nutzen und eine kleine Sanierung vornehmen?!

Great hotel located on the square of the old town of a coastal seaside town - but with an entirely inadequate Annexe - e
Pros:

The main DOMS building in the heart of the old town is well located, with a smart and welcoming lobby, large, deluxe bedrooms, a large lift and a gentle, wide and safe staircase.

But we discovered by email when we arrived that we were not to be accommodated in the main building but in an annex on the opposite side of the square. There were no hotel staff present to confer with.

The annex was above a bar/restaurant owned by the same company, where breakfast was served. The annex was accessed through a door up a steep step from a pavement containing restaurant seats training tables and chairs.

Inside the door one was confronted by a poorly-lit, very steep staircase with narrow treads. There is no lift nor alternative access.

I am in my ‘80’s and suffer from vertigo. I found climbing that staircase difficult. I found coming down it and opening the door onto the busty pavement very frightening indeed. The staircase is totally inappropriate for what purports to be a high-quality hotel.

The room we were allocated in the annex was said to be de-luxe. It was anything but that. It was considerably smaller than one would expect. It had a large double/maybe king size bed with a broad hardwood sharp-corned base. My partner, who had little space to get into her side of the bed banged her shins on the sharp corners several times.

The bathroom door and window were so designed that they banged into one another. The window had no stay. The only way to keep it open for adequate ventilation was to stuff a towel underneath it. A manager advised us that rooms were classed “deluxe” if they had a balcony. This room did have a balcony. But it was very tiny and directly outside the bathroom window - hardly deluxe!!

There were no staff at the hotel in the afternoon so no one to speak with. We went to see the receptionist the next morning to express our complete dissatisfaction with the room we had been allocated - especially given my vertigo.

Modernt hotell med bra läge och pool på taket.
Pros:

Bra läge precis vid torget med ett antal restauranger. Poolen var fin och vi hade även en egen liten terrass med egen jacuzzi. Frukosten var god och vackert serverad på ett våningsfat men möjligen inte så personlig (man åt på caféet mittemot).

Cons:

DOMS har rationaliserat bort receptionen och man går in med kod till både ytterdörr och rum. Vi träffade ingen personal förrän vi skulle checka ut. Det kan vara effektivt ibland men är inte så boutique. Rummet var rent och fint, men ganska opersonligt, liksom hela huset.
