I was really looking forward to staying at Kazakiwi, particularly because it is marketed as a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, and I honestly cannot see how this property warrants a four-star rating.
The room was very small and the standard of cleanliness was poor. The floor clearly hadn’t been properly hoovered, the light fittings were visibly dusty, and there was pubic hair on the toilet seat when I arrived. For a hotel presenting itself as four-star, this was particularly disappointing.
The room and overall experience felt much more like a two-star hotel than a four-star hotel. In fact, I didn’t feel that the room offered much more than an Ibis, despite the hotel being positioned at a significantly higher level.
The communal areas were equally underwhelming. The reception is shockingly small and extremely narrow, with a tiny, uncomfortable sofa along the wall. It doesn’t feel like a proper hotel reception or somewhere you would want to sit and relax. Although the staff I encountered were pleasant, the reception was also frequently left unmanned, particularly in the evening, which didn’t give the impression of a four-star level of service.
What’s particularly surprising is that there is a much larger area which, judging from the hotel’s photographs, appears to be a hotel bar or lounge. In reality, this space is only used for breakfast and isn’t available to guests as a communal area during the rest of the day. There is no hotel bar, not even an honesty bar, and nowhere particularly inviting to sit down, have a drink or coffee and relax after being out for the day.
There is outdoor space, but this is also disappointing. The area is predominantly used as a smoking area, with dated artificial grass and uncomfortable-looking seating. The so-called rooftop is essentially dominated by the air-conditioning equipment and again feels more like another smoking area than a genuine rooftop amenity.
Great location, very handy to public transport. On arrival, the team were very friendly and made the check-in process seamless.
Room was lovely! Small but cozy and it was well equipped with anything you would need. Location was super convenient for me and all staff I encountered were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again!

Hôtel à 15 minutes à pied du centre ville, 5 minutes de la gare et de la ligne métro dans une rue calme avec plusieurs restaurants. Une literie confortable, décoration moderne et personnel accueillant. Excellent petit-déjeuner avec plats salés et sucrés, chauds et froids.

La habitacion individual media max 5m2, olia a moho y humedad y no estaba muy limpia. Habia muchisimo polvo entre el colchon y la madera de soporte de la cama., pañuelo y suciedad, de no haberse limpiado nunca. El cubre colchon olia fatal a sudor y por lo tanto toda la habitacion. Cleanleness can be very much improved: dirty walls, dirty door, corners of the shower, corners of the room, bed underneath the mattress full of big amounts of dust, smelly bed and pillows of sweat.
