Wir wurden in einem winzigen Dachzimmer mit ca. 14 qm einquartiert das immerhin 39 Grad Raumtemperatur hatte (hatte wohl keiner gelüftet seit Tagen in der Hitzewelle), gebucht hatte ich ein Zimmer mit 18 qm. Das Gepäck darf selber die Treppe hochgetragen werden (kein Aufzug vorhanden) und natürlich soll man auch das Auto selbst in die Tiefgarage bringen. Beim Frühstück heisst es beim Wunsch, an einem leeren Tisch am Fenster zu sitzen „das wäre reserviert“. Dann wird zwar ein paar Minuten später eilig ein „reserviert“ Schild hingestellt, aber auch nach 2 h kam da niemand. Dafür, dass weder Hotel noch Frühstücksraum stark belegt waren, ein schwaches Stück von Service. Das Personal wirkte größtenteils eher lustlos und teilnahmslos, wie eine internationale Söldnertruppe, die auch bald weg will. Insgesamt: das Geld nicht wert, enttäuschend.

No access to the swimming pool

Keine Klima und bei den Temperaturen wäre zumindest ein Ventilator nötig

First, the directions to the reception were not clear. We had to park in a private gravel parking lot downhill from the hotel because due to the national holiday (August 1st) the parking spaces meant for us (to cost 40CHF) in front of the hotel were occupied by tables and benches for people celebrating. After we lugged some of our luggage up a gravel path and got to the hotel, we were told the reception was in another building ( Palace Hotel) down the street about 100 meters away. At the reception, where my partner was ready to pay for the room in advance with his debit card, we were told only a credit card could be used and with an additional booking of another 250CHF (plus the over 450CHF expensive hotel room) to be deposited for "Extras" such as restaurant bills. An additional 50CHF was added to the credit card booking as a deposit for our room key ( we had to use my visa card) which meant a transaction from my account of over 770CHF. We were directed to repark as shown on a map given to us, which was occupied by tables, bences and people right in front of the hotel, so we had to drive back down to another parking area near the gravel parking lot and park in another area which had previosly been filled up with celebrators. When we finally got into to our small room (on the 2nd floor with no lift) and carried all our luggage up the 2 flights of stairs, all the lights and the TV were turned on, and soon we saw that the tiles on the bathroom floor didn't look clean. Although the room was hot there was no air conditioning, and a sign on the windows recommending to keep the windows closed. (There was an option to have a fan, but fans are too loud and drafty at night.) None of the hotel personell would speak in any other language than English although this hotel is in the german speaking part of Switzerland. After we sent for someone to remop the bathroom floor, it didn't look any better than before.

The food at the taverne restaurant is not so good.

- Keine Klimaanlage in der Taverne (auch wenn man mit einem Dyson Luftkühler/Ventilator bemüht war, hat dies nur bedingt geholfen (in Bezug auf die Klimatisierung und das Wellness Angebot, werden wir künftig auf das Waldhaus Upgraden, das es uns insgesamt sehr gut gefallen hatte)
