Great location and internal decoration
The Bluetooth speaker in the room would periodically come on randomly (nothing to do with me) and at maximum volume, after several attempts over a number of hours to turn the volume to 0 and then switch it off (even this didn’t work) I had to completely unplug it!
Coffee and tea making facilities were sparse with just 2 caffeinated coffee pods for 2 guests over the course of our 24hr stay. Gin menu is extensive and there is something for everyone but sometimes the price shown on the menu isn’t what you are charged. I ordered a sloe gin (single) at £11 with a tonic (£3) along with a pint of Asahi beer at £7 but somehow was charged £25 (£5 extra) which I didn’t notice until after I checked my phone later.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
The room was beautiful
Beautiful traditional property
Zeer vriendelijke staff en een fantastische kamer. Heerlijk ontbeten op (overdekt) terras.
Amazing hotel
We booked the executive suite for 2 adults and 2 children 3&5

Bathtub in room incredible
Bed superb
Location top class
Best hotel ever
Friendly, helpful, nice staff
If your ok not to go to sleep till 2am or later due to the music. Fire alarm went off in middle of the night. We had a toddler with us too
Next to a club ‘the under’ could hear music at 5.30am. Website shows they open till 6am daily.
Their menus , the staff were lovely! But was slightly disappointed with the room and decor in hallways
Position of hotel was wonderful… staff were very happy to help!
The room
Fire alarm went off half way through the night caused me and my pregnant girlfriend to wake up
The facilities are incredible - genuinely 10/10. The gin & juice bar has a great atmosphere even midweek. I'd visit Cheltenham again just for the hotel.
Parking was good but tricky to find. Some people may find noise from the terrace a problem in the morning - for us it wasn't an issue.
The character and attention to detail
Limited parking
Everything
Nothing
The rooms are decorated nicely and comfy bed.
Noise! Didn’t sleep due to various parties on site till early hours. Moved rooms the next night, only to have the same problem. Then woke up by loud building noises in the morning. Also staff were rude and unhelpful. No refund offered when I made a complaint through booking.com
Location great, bed extremely comfortable and decor very smart.
The ac was impossible to adjust. My bathroom was down a very narrow spiral staircase which was not mentioned when I was taken to my room. I am 75 and fairly sparely but needed to be super careful going down to shower and loo.
TV only had NOW so although a very fancy tv made viewing very restrictive.
