Pros:

It was in a lovely quiet area of Cheltenham , beside a lovely park area. Close to lovely restaurants and lovely shops. Bedroom was nicely decorated and bed was really comfy. Shower was excellent.

Cons:

It was quite a hike to our bedroom. We had 2 cases and 2 back packs. There are no lifts to the bedrooms. Our bedroom was in a different building to reception where you check in. We had no idea this was the case. My husband carried both our suitcases up the stairs to reception only to be told we need to go back down the stairs to get to our bedroom , we had to walk to next building and carry cases up more stairs and through an outside restaurant belonging to the hotel, pulling our cases passed people having dinner. Not a nice thing for the diners to have to put up with . Same thing when we checked out and had to pull cases passed people having breakfast. A couple of guests had to pull their chairs in to let us pass. Not ideal. Hotel was a bit tired in parts .

Pros:

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Cheltenham. Room was spacious and really lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would really recommend staying here for a good base to explore the area.

Cons:

Only the noise from a nearby bar or night club. That is the only reason I haven't marked as 10. We were informed prior to the stay and earbuds were provided in the room.

Do not recommend this property for anyone who struggles with stairs.
Pros:

Good location, good bar.

Cons:

There was a spiral staircase in the room to go downstairs to the bathroom. The set up was uncomfortable and made it difficult to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. We were not given any choice in this.

Lovely staff and food as always.
Pros:

It’s perfect location and easy parking just the street behind. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant are amazing we had a lovely dinner and breakfast as we all ways do for my partners birthday.

Cons:

Our room was a little under cleaned this time we found a silvered coloured hoop earring under the sofa so it hadn’t been cleaned to the standards we come to expect from 131. As well as the bed was very uncomfortable both myself and my partner woke up feeling very stiff and uncomfortable.

Great location for a loud weekend
Pros:

Location was great and staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Room was boiling and in Lower ground floor; it was a very hot week but surprised there was no AC. The bar areas were very loud at night so make sure to specify rooms away from this or higher up. Place seems more focused on bar guests than residents.

Perfect
Pros:

It is not only the best hotel in Cheltenham but the best hotel I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. The food at the hotel is also very good and better than a lot of places in Cheltenham.

OK for an overnight stay between destinations.
Pros:

The location of the hotel. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

Style over function. We stayed in a very dark room with not much natural light. We had a very noisy air conditioning unit in one corner of the room which didn't seem to make any effect on the temperature of the room. If the unit was switched off the noise from the road outside was even louder. Also at breakfast I found a thick black hair in my Greek yogurt.
