THE OWNER IS GREEDY, I don't know what else I can say.
I made the booking one month prior to my stay, the booking was confirmed by the owner and no further communication happened. Just a week prior to my stay the owner asked me to call him. Upon calling he mentioned that the room we booked is no longer available and we need to cancel the booking and re-book a deluxe room at a higher price. I mentioned to him that I had made the booking almost a month ago and how come the room was not available as it should be blocked for the dates I have booked. To my surprise his actual words were "The price has increased, if you need the room that pay the higher price or cancel the booking". This was unnecessary harassment for us as we had to look for other properties and eventually most of the properties were already booked and the ones available were overpriced.

My suggestion to the owner would be if you want more money then you should list your rooms at your desired price, as what you are doing is extortion (luring guests by listing your rooms at a lower price and then asking for more money at a point where the guest will have no option but to go along with you).

I had an excellent experience during my stay at this hotel. The service was exceptional, and I must say, the staff made me feel right at home. Pros:

this was a super last minute booking, and yet, it was the best decision. the room was comfortable, the ac works great, there's hot water, and since we had a bike, it was easy to get around; white town is only 15 minutes away. ariyankuppam (the mangrove forest) is only 5 minutes away!
plus, they have a kitchen with an induction stove and a fridge, too!
would really recommend this place :) big thanks to the owners.

Great budget stay with good sleep
Pros:

Quiet and peaceful with large spacious room. The kitchenette is useful for tea, maggie etc. Good for a car parking and several bikes. Sunrise / sunset from the Terrace was nice. Helpful staff. Location is a bit outside white town (10-15 mins in car) but that is why it is quiet and peaceful. Budget friendly. RO's water could be better. Rest all good.
