Fantastic location
No fridge in room
Lovely location by canal
Walking distance to town centre
No fridge or ironing board or iron in room
Only a small fan to try to keep room cool
Canal side room so nice and quiet.
Dirty fan full of dust .
Great location, with on site parking which was a must for us. Beds very comfortable and room size generous. Hotel restaurant food was also very good.
Over bath shower was the only real let down, and a lack of air conditioning.
Very comfortable and welcoming. Good breakfast and location. Friendly staff. Excellent facilities.
Smart bar.
Not a lot.
The breakfast was good and the staff at breakfast time were amazing
Great location - easy to walk into town
parking is a bit tricky
the room was so hot
It’s a lovely hotel, food is good, any problems they were sorted straight away. Always have a lovely stay when we do.
That there’s no fridges in the room
The property was nice and clean and good value for money, included breakfast which was nice and the pool was free to use
The room was absolutely boiling, felt like I couldn’t breathe , the fan that was in the room was circulating hot air and the window doesn’t open much at all. Could do with investing in some air con for the rooms. I did call to ask if there was anything they could do about it and they said only floor 6 rooms have aircon and them rooms were all taken
The staff were all lovely and ultra helpful. The breakfast was excellent apart from the soggy, sliced bread toast but most hotels use it too.
The bed was comfortable and the room a decent size and the decor was vey pleasant. There was a bath and a shower. The water pressure was swesome!
It's a very convenient position midway between the staion and the town centre so an easy walk to both. The walk along the canal towpath in both directions was very pleasant.
Our room looked out on the level of a busy elavated road so we couldn't have the window open because of the traffic noise.
The bathroom was quite poky. We felt, for the price the hotel could have provided complimentary toiletries, shampoo, soap etc. There was no air-conditioning and because we couldn't open the window because of the noise it got very hot. There was a fan provided.
The hotel picture looks picturesque with barges moored alongside. There are no moorings there and there were no barges in that stretch of the canal on either side.
Everything was good.
Nothing for the price.
Good hotel with good staff. Liked the leisure club with the pool. Breakfast was good enough for me. Very near the city centre and has parking.
I was staying there for 4 nights in a heatwave and it didn't have aircon so the room was boiling hot, they did give you a fan in the room, but against the heatwave it wasn't much good.
Nice location to chester centre.
Nice location next to canal.
Nice bar.
Bed very lumpy. Room and restaurant very put dated. In dire need of a refurbishment.
The breakfast choices were excellent and good value. The room was a little remote and the fan provided was inadequate during the current heat wave. However the room was clean, tidy and spacious for two people. The shower/bath was clean but a bit antiquated. The location and parking facilities was excellent. |A stones throw from the Centre of Chester, a beautiful City.
Thee shower was over a bath and needed to be careful stepping over the edge of the bath on entry/exit. Bigger fan would have been helpful.
there was so much to like about this hotel. Great location, great breakfast and room size, layout was modern yet homely. If anywhere in the area again will def try to stay here.
the only complaint I have is a big one - it was very warm when we were there and as theres no air conditioning we had to keep windows open but the chimney from the burners were right at our window so it was either dont sleep due to the heat or dont sleep with the noise from the burners.
Location
Not very clean
No water in the rooms and it was super hot that weekend
One tiny fan
