Long walk to out room, was very confusing
Staff very friendly, the pool and spa were excellent very clean. The hotel is a short walk away from Railway Station, shops and restaurant's. The hotel was an old mill and is right on the canal we had our breakfast over looking the canal it was very pleasant.
We thought the bathroom taps over the bath need updating as these operate the shower too
Loved everything about it. Will be back soon as perfect in every way for a chill time away

All was good
Excellent breakfast, great bar meal. All staff friendly and helpful. Brilliant convenient location. Great canal side breakfast room. Loved the pool facilities. Appreciated being able to drop cases off early before checking in and after checkout.
Thankyou.
Small bathroom but adequate with tiny toilet area proving bit of a squeeze.
We were very pleased with the staff and hotel. Its location was ideal for us. Unfortunately we checked out the evening before due to in coming weather prediction.
Lovely room, facilities and pool
We loved the location so close to the centre of Chester, the bed was very comfortable and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was very clean also and we also very much liked having use of the swimming pool and hot tub! The food we had at the bar was very nice but we ran out of options. The desserts were the best aspect food wise, beautifully presented and delicious.
We had a classic room which was adequate but also a little cramped with not quite enough space. Although clean it was a little dated and could do with modernising in terms of decor/furniture. It was good to have tea, coffee etc available in the room but the cups were too small, mugs would be better. Also there was no separate low lighting for the bed area, most hotels have separate, less bright lights over the bed area, but all the lights were on one switch mechanism so it was all or nothing!
The main disappointment was the limited range of food options particularly at breakfast, the buffet was nice but a bit basic (no hash browns or mushrooms and not many cereals on offer). Also the bar food was limited in choice with very few chicken options and no chicken breast at all, what we had was nice but it seemed a bit overpriced for some items (eg a side of chips was a tiny cup of chips which cost around £5.00). There was a bigger range of choices on the lunch menu which could be extended to the dinner menu to improve it.
Lovely room an nice staff
Breakfast should be covered up eg. Bacon as was very dry an rubbery
Close to centre
Poor ventilation, no aircon
