Lovely stay really lovely staff
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't fault them..
Breakfast was excellent and lots of choice, food quality ingredients. Toiletries were provided which was nice and you were given 2 large bottles of water every day and free fresh fruit The room was cleaned and beds made daily. The tea tray provided was very good. Nice convenient location. Everyone worked so hard to ensure you had a lovely stay from reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff and it was very much appreciated.

Cons:

The room was a little dated and in my opinion needing a bit of a refresh. There was a very small balcony and one chair but it was a double room. Only one person at a time could fit on the balcony.
The restaurants charge 12.5% service charge on all meals but you are not told about this in advance. I only spotted it when I looked over my bill.
The sausages at breakfast were Cumberland and though nice enough it would have been nice to add some pork ones too.

What a wonderful location and lovely hotel.
Pros:

The food in the golf club was excellent, slightly better than the hotel. I thought this would of been the other way round.

Exceeded expectations.
Pros:

Staff, facilities, breakfast, especially coffee were all excellent. In room supplies were good. Lovely pool with outside access. Comfortable room and good ensuite. Terrace bar had reliably good and varied food.

Cons:

Balcony was very small, but at least it was private. Another time we might choose somewhere closer to nice evening walks, but it was very convenient.

The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, would absolutely visit again.
Pros:

the booking was made as a silver anniversary celebration. I booked a table in the restaurant expecting a high level of service and wasn't disappointed. the restaurant was adjacent to the main restaurant and it is possible to order from the a la carte menu and the bar menu. Breakfast was excellent - a choice from the menu or the pre prepared buffet service. All high quality.

Cons:

Restaurant service was excellent from the main restaurant manager, Sara. When food was brought to the table there was a distinct lack of training. Plates were placed on top of cutlery and not central to the diner which let down the quality. Silver Service training would enhance this.
