April1550 Boutique Hotel

Simply outstanding - care and attention to detail second to none! Brilliant aesthetic, and nothing too much trouble! Breakfast was amazing- great care in preparation of artisanal local produce and traditional recipes!

This was one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. From the moment that we arrived, Nataša made us feel so welcome. The room was well appointed and so comfortable and the breakfast was out of this world. It is well located in the Old Town, but not on the main drag so it's nice and quiet. The room was so comfortable. The beds were so luxurious, and you really felt like the hotel had invested in quality items (towels, bedding, plates, etc.) The breakfast menu changed every day, and Alenka made some delicious dishes, all with local and seasonal ingredients. If you are going to Ljubljana, do not stay anywhere else, stay here. We shall definitely stay there again.

All the staff were exceptionally helpful & friendly. They gave us plenty of good recommendations for places in Ljubljana to visit.

We started our day with breakfast in the lovely private courtyard.

The decor of the hotel is absolutely stunning, and it was clearly designed with so much care. Natasa and the rest of the team were very attentive, and the breakfast in the mornings was divine. There is a lovely breakfast room and back patio that are very nice for starting the day or coming back to after a long day of touring. It is in the heart of old town but on a quiet street - best of both worlds.

This is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel beautifully designed and run by some of the nicest women you will meet. Its located right on the edge of the old town and an easy walk up to the castle too. The attention to detail in the rooms is amazing. I loved everything about the place. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast downstairs was insanely good. Was also the best air con I have experienced in all of Europe which as an Aussie is saying something haha! The little outdoor courtyard was also a haven. All the staff working there are wonderful. I arrived late in the afternoon after a long hot train trip from Budapest and Eva was incredibly accommodating getting me a cold bottle of water straight away. The owner then made me feel even more at home the next morning serving up a delicious breakfast. Laundry service was great and fast! I will be back!

Ligging in het oude centrum, manier van inrichting, fantastisch en persoonlijke ontvangst, de sfeer is heerlijk en comfortabel.

Sehr schönes, äußerst liebevoll gestaltetes Hotel im modernem skandinavischen Stil. Excellentes, sehr individuelles Frühstück, alles frisch zubereitet. Sehr, sehr freundliches Personal, dass sich um alles kümmert. Danke für den sehr, sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Absolutely everything! April 1550 exceeded our expectations! We stayed 3 nights and truly wish we could have stayed longer. It’s well located at the edge of “Old Town” on a quiet street. Owner Natasia and her staff are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Having been built in 1550 this historic building has been beautifully restored with clean lines and modern charm. The breakfast is phenomenal! Everything is homemade with locally sourced ingredients. The selection is amazing and the presentation is picture perfect. We highly recommend this boutique hotel for anyone looking to be pampered.

Tout était parfait. L’accueil des « April ladies », l’ambiance «  comme à la maison »le calme, le raffinement des lieux, la gentillesse, les petites attentions, le buffet du petit déjeuner cuisiné par une cheffe, l’Emplacement très central pour visiter Ljubljana… tout se fait à pied. Pas de parking mais possibilité de déposer les bagages puis d’aller garer la voiture dans un des nombreux parking de ljubjana ( renseignent transmis à l’arrivée).

the highlight of our stay at April 1550 was for sure the care and attention to detail of the staff, all the ladies went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. the breakfast was exceptional (all other hotels after this have been held to its standard and failed). we are travelling with our dog (a greyhound) and the staff was very sweet and accommodating with her, overall an amazing experience! you’re in a beautiful house 5-10 minutes away from all the turist spots and surrounded by good restaurants and cafes. I cant wait to go back and will definitely still at April 1550 again.

Breakfast was incredible! They so sweetly packed a breakfast to go for the day we had to leave early before breakfast service.
Every detail of the hotel was well thought out. Such a beautiful hotel with a big heart!

Tout était parfait

Boutique feel, the staff were really friendly and it’s in a great location. The breakfast changes every day and they were all delicious. On a day we were leaving early (leave about 7am for Bled at the weekend in the holidays!) they made us a wonderful fresh packed lunch with a fabulous coffee to go.

Staff and owner that clearly care about guests. Rooms and public areas decorated extremely tastefully. One of the best hotel breakfasts that I have ever had. Location is ideal, central but quiet.
