Amazing location, beautiful scenic and peaceful. The little town just a short stroll away.
Staff welcoming and friendly. Hotel was clean.
Rooms need updating and modernising a bit. Bathroom a little bit more wear and tear, like the radiator pealing.
The shower wasn't good, it wouldn't keep to a nice temp. Would go cold then red hot.
Very nice and stylish hotel, welcoming staff and cosy atmosphere. My wife loved it.
more food options in the evening
The hotel is in an amazing location so perfect to sit and enjoy a drink outside or go for a walk by the river, however the room was small and the bathroom was very dated and the choice of food was limited and expensive for what you received.
Bathroom was terrible with horrible shower curtain
Location and meals great. Sorry where there in a holiday week - Village too busy
Village to busy with holiday makers - Holiday week
Beautiful location in easy walking distance of Beddgelert. Very comfortable bedroom and downstairs sitting/dining room. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and evening meal (platter).
Everything was great.
We had a wonderful stay at Ty Afon – River House.
What stood out most was the exceptional hospitality. The staff who welcomed us on arrival were among the friendliest and most helpful people I have encountered during my time in the UK. They genuinely took the time to make us feel welcome, offered useful recommendations on places to visit in Beddgelert, and were always happy to help.
The level of service was outstanding and felt very personal. It is the kind of hospitality that is becoming increasingly rare, even in much larger and more expensive hotels.
The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located within walking distance of the village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.
Nothing. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
Great location!
Rooms are a little on the small size.
Breakfast was buffet style, but you could also order from the menu. The menu options were delicious and beautifully presented.
Dinner consisted of a choice between two different sharing platters, really worth trying. One featured a selection of cheeses and cured meats, while the other was a fondue-style platter served with various meats, potatoes, and a few other tasty bits and bobs.
The location itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. The village is only a short walk away, but make sure you book a table at the local pubs as soon as they open, otherwise you may struggle to get dinner.
The staff were amazing, service at the bar, breakfast and dinner was excellent.
It’s not really a dislike, more of a recommendation. As families with children do book to stay, it might be worth adding a few kid-friendly options to the evening menu. The sharing platters you serve are amazing, but something simple for children, like a burger or pizza, would probably go down a treat.
Die Lage ist wundervoll, Service und Zimmer sind perfekt!
Nothing!
well We loved the place and we will come back . pace and unbelievably quite location, this place and its village . is where the wold stops ,Plants birds food . endless walks within few minutes
Pros:
The hotel is in a great location, making it very convenient to get around. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also really appreciated the lovely view from the room.
Cons:
There was a bit of confusion regarding the breakfast. At the time of booking, it appeared that breakfast was included, but I was later informed there would be an additional charge. A continental breakfast option was available, though this wasn’t clearly mentioned in advance, so clearer communication would be helpful.
The bathroom could benefit from a light refresh, particularly the bathtub. I also noticed a few small areas where a bit more attention to detail in cleaning would enhance the overall experience
