Very kind bar staff. Thank you.
Nothing. Perfect
The staff were friendly, attentive and professional throughout. We felt right at home immediately, we were given a free room upgrade by the manager as we had got married the previous day in a different hotel. We were given a congratulatory plate of brownies for free with our room service order. The evening meal was delicious, the spa was fantastic, and the breakfast was excellent.
Being hyper critical, the room that we were given was not hugely spacious; it was definitely big enough to not be cramped, but there was not a huge amount of space in and around the bed, and the bathroom was a little small for us. This is in no way adversely affected our stay at all really.
Location, terrace and views are exceptional
Rooms are a bit tired and simply not worth £200 a night! The choice of food in the restaurant for this supposed quality of hotel is poor and very unimaginative
Well run hotel very clean.
No faults
Location was fabulous, clean comfy rooms with everything you needed, great selection of hot drinks in room. Breakfast was delicious. Relaxing calm place. Would definitely recommend.
The vending machine had out of date chocolate.
The evening meal menu didn't really have much choice. But what was ordered was cooked great.
Location & sea views
Boring uninspiring expensive menus, tired terrace furniture, poor housekeeping - unmade bed & bathroom not cleaned on day 2 , inattentive waiting staff ……
Clean, comfortable room.
Good selection on breakfast menu and buffet.
Bar menu limited selection, food was tasty
Beautiful venue
Restaurant service slow and food quality not as we expected
Location was fabulous. Staff great and food amazing.
Please bear in mind I may have been unlucky because there was a classic car rally.
I went for Spa so was super relaxed until I got to my room.
I didn't mind it being a small single but it was right on the stairway with banging up and down and doors crashing half the night . There was shouting with one couple having a very swearing argument up and down the corridor.
By the time I did manage to sleep, the wonderful spa experience had evaporated.
My suggestion to hotel. Do what The Towers in Swansea does. They have a designated area for purely Spa package guests to stay. Away from the noise and hub bub. I would return there, i don't think I'd come back here.
If you are traveling alone, make sure to say you do not want a room alongside stairwell.
Great location. The spa looked great despite not using it. The terrace was lovely and check in was easy.
They really need to improve their wayfinding, particularly signposting for reception. It's a bit of a maze and I didn't see a single sign for reception. A very easy fix
Staff were so helpful.
Could not fault anything.
Loved the spa, restaurant and food brilliant.
Our room wasn’t great, bit dated and small. Some staff were not attentive and in a rush to close.
I loved that is so close to the sea the food was absolutely stunning the room was cosy but very clean and well presented the spa was great the staff was brilliant and helpful the breakfast especially the full english couldn't fault it plenty of everything thoroughly enjoyed our stay will definitly be doing it again great to recharge the batteries on the body real peacfull no stress just a chilled night thankyou all at cliff hotel
There was nothing I didn't like top place stunning place and great food what more could u ask for
Location fantastic views
Nothing
We complained about the first room and we were moved to a much nicer room - room 16 which was much cooler.
We were also given a discount from our evening meal because we were kept waiting for the second room to be cleaned even though we were told we were a priority.
We liked the Happy Anniversary slate/cakes and wine.
Room 217 - it was uncomfortably hot and the one window only opened a little. There should have been air conditioning instead of a desk fan that did very little to make the temperature bearable. Also, the window let in the very noisy disco from below. We slept very little the first night.
Also, we were made to wait half an hour for our evening meal - the manager of the restaurant asked us to sit in the bar and then had actually forgotten about us!
This was meant to be a memorable Ruby Anniversary for us.
We stayed here for a wedding and it was just magical. From start to finish the venue was amazing and the staff so attentive
