Non c’è l’aria condizionata, non avevano tirato le tende e chiuso le imposte: arrivando la sera ci è sembrato di entrare in un forno anche se all’esterno faceva fresco
Die Lage ist ideal für Ruhesuchende. Die Ausstattung 1A (Waschmaschine, Staubsauger usw.)
Der nahe gelegene Woodland Walk hat uns sehr entsprochen.
Die Pfauen auf dem Areal sind eine Bereicherung. Die dagelassenen Häufchen der Tiere weniger!

The lodges looked lovely when we booked our trip. We picked the lodges all on one level to avoid stairs for medical reasons. When we arrived we were informed we had a room in the manor!! We were unhappy and after much discussion were told there had been errors made by Booming.com!
We were then offered a two bedroom cottage. We had stairs to contend with. I have 2 knee replacements and my partner has had a triple bypass. The bedrooms were tiny. The double bed was so close to one wall you couldn’t walk around it. The bedside cabinet was turned sideways to fit in the space and was very dirty. There was NO clothes storage space in the double room. We used the single bedroom as a dressing room. The door to this room didn’t open properly as the bed was too close to it.
The shower had no plug, just a gaping hole.
The lounge had a very uncomfortable bench to sit on which was very low and difficult to get off. The curtains lacked curtain hooks and wouldn’t close properly and the unit the TV was on was falling apart.
There was no curtain on the front door so anyone could see in!!
The property was well-maintained, offered a comfortable stay, and had all the essential amenities. Its location and overall cleanliness made the experience enjoyable.

Only negative. No milk pouches or small amount of milk in accommodation.
Lovely location, so secluded and relaxing, peacocks pottering all over the place made it feel special, the staff were absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much bother, incredibly friendly and helpful, absolutely loved the place and would definitely recommend it.

Location was good.
Pillows and mattress were very uncomfortable. Rooms were not cleaned throughly. Water pressure was often low and some shelves were placed in awkward positions.
Nice location, lodge was roomy and clean with a comfy bed.
The peacocks on site leave a lot of poo on the balcony and are very noisy.

Food smelt great, but I didn't dine. Lovely grounds, good access to main road. Bar looked friendly.
Booked a nice looking cabin, was told I was in the hotel. Rather rude gent telling me I wasn't getting one anyway. Helpfull lady on reception though.
Room was very dated, no hot water in shower. Admittedly I didnt mention it, by this time and in my third set of poor accomodation in the area that week, I'd given up on life. Noisy kitchen below in the morning.

Although they were a huge shock/surprise & we were very wary, the peacocks were beautiful.
I think maybe something should be covered on the booking.com website to warn people & advise on how to behave towards these beautiful creatures. Eg what not to feed them maybe.
The lodge was super clean but the bedding & towels smelled musty & it was not nice to sleep & shower with them. Made our skin smell. It is like they’d been put away damp. They just didn’t smell fresh & made the en-suite & bedroom smell musty,
The shower flow was very weak. Struggled to rinse shower gel off skin.
The wifi was poor, hard to work but that’s not unusual for Cornwall.
This said, we would come back. The issues are not major ones & i’m sure they’ll be addressed.
Ein sehr schöner Ort und sehr sauber. Das Personal auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war auch sehr sehr fein.
