Portland Old Pub Comfort
Pros:

We have stayed here quite a bit for visits to Portland over the last few years, always comfortable old style pub hotel. Price is very reasonable for the room with shower and toilet facilities. Really quiet location with close access to the main street with RSL, Coronation Hotel and Zig Zag Brewery all easy walking distance.

Pros:

We had the place to ourselves, we booked 4 rooms very lucky.
An awesome lounge with a huge TV and open fire place.
The rooms are very neat, tidy and clean.
The beds are great, my wife found them a touch firm, but she sleep well.
The water pressure is the best, the showers are unreal.
A short walk to shops etc...perfect.

Not much.

Pros:

Very comfy; recently renovated: central location; personable staff/management. We’d stay there again when next we visit Portland.

Historical comfortable clean and good value for money
Pros:

It was very clean and close to the centre of town to where I needed to be

Cons:

I had requested a twin room but got a double. Made it a little awkward with sleeping arrangement, but not too bad.

Did not sleep well, smells. Won't be back.
Pros:

They were quick to change my room when I was originally given one that had been used.

Cons:

The place has a horrible smell. Was given a room that had obviously been used & not cleaned yet. Didn't realise it wasnt a pub any more. Thought I would be able to get food there. Very creepy place.

Quiet Comfortable Rooms with Ensuite, Great Location
Pros:

One more stay after the sale of my dad's house. We enjoyed our stay. Easy check in with Sean via coded entry. Room clean and tidy and quiet. A great place to stay with the comfort of an ensuite in the room. Easy walk to the Coronation Hotel or the newly opened Zig Zag Brewery (highly rated by me also). Will be back one day.
