The host, Molly, was so helpful. On the first night we arrived late and had a minor problem with our things which Molly promptly helped with (24h instant delivery on most things in China it seems!). Also she helped us get our luggage sent to Beijing on the last day and kindly let us store our things in the apartment for our late train departure. Really felt like staying at a friend's place who we could rely on. Also grateful for the kitchen and washing machine within the unit which is so handy when traveling with children.
The building itself was old, and located in a quite busy street, maybe it's not to everyone's liking, but it's ok by me. The apartment itself though is nicely redone with lots of amenities, so it's only the walk to and from the apartment that might feel old.
Very good location very close to Nanjing Road, many restaurants and mini market near the apartment. The staff handle all problems as soon as possible. They replied promptly.

Location was great. Traveling is easy and food is just across the street.
No lift to ground floor. Lift only goes to level 1. Need to go down a flight of stairs to reach the ground level.

квартире требуется косметический ремонт: на видных местах облупилась краска, Лейка для душа течет в нескольких местах, герметик заплесневелый на раковине, на межкомнатных дверях кое где ободрана пленка.
Как писали в других комментариях из душа вода постоянно течет на пол и в туалете постоянно сыро, учитывая сырость и общее грязное состояние ванной комнаты заходить туда без тапок очень страшно.

Yes, it's not a brand-new luxury hotel - but that's exactly why we loved it! You get authentic local vibes with modern comforts at a great value. this is absolutely worth booking. We'd definitely stay again!

-Amazing location, central and easy to access everything we wanted to see in Shanghai.
-Some lovely little extras, like the fire place, extension cords for devices, cushions, etc.
-The soundproofing on the windows is BAD and we got a lot of ambient noise from the street. If you're a light sleeper and/or got to bed early, you might be bothered by this.
-You can smell the neighbor's cooking even when all the windows are closed.
- The listing mentions a microwave and fridge, but there weren't either. The host didn't mention they were missing until we asked where they were.
- The host kept asking us to pay prior to check-in, even though booking.com confirmed (both with us, and with the host directly) that pre-payment wasn't required.
- The bathroom is really small and the floor got quite wet after showers.
-There are hanging decorative lights that we banged our head on numerous times. It'd be better to replace these with normal ceiling lights.
-The front door lock is a buggy mess. it constantly gave us "password incorrect" errors (literally every single time we used it) and was just a constant nuisance to deal with.
Supplies like toilet rolls, tissue paper, mineral water was sufficient. Hair dryer was new and easy to use. Aircon is good as you can turn to aircon or heater temperature. Bed was comfortable. There is sufficient adaptor point in bedroom that enable us to charge our phones or powerbank.
Toilet was in bad condition. No proper shower screen. Water flow out after shower making the whole toilet floor very wet due to no drainage. Heater did not work properly as hot water come and go. This also applies the same as water tap at basin which most of time cannot get hot water even when you turn to hot water. There is a hole on toilet door that is visible from outside. Toilet door lock was quite bad. Kitchen was not so clean and there is bad smell from refrigerator. Room doors are very run down like the wood coming out from door. There is no free TV channel. Should have provide more bath towels as we have been using one towel for the 6 nights stay. Price is too expensive due to the toilet condition and kitchen. It could have been cheaper.
