Pros:

Giselle is the heart of Hotel D Basel
We stayed on two separate occasions
When Giselle is on the front desk everything is great
When she is not there it’s all average

Good place to stay for a couple of nights
Pros:

Good location. Friendly and very helpful staff. Easy walk to the river.

Cons:

Road works in front and beside. Meant the uber had to drop us down the street. But I understand that’s unavoidable.

First hotel in heatwave that didn’t supply a bottle of water or even a carafe of local. Two coffee capsules of unknown origin and no tea. Hotel not full but my room overlooked the building work that started at 8am

Would not stay again.
Pros:

Good location and friendly staff.

Cons:

The AC unit started pouring out water in the middle of the night right into my open suitcase of electronics. When I complained I was told there was no manager available and they would get somebody to get back to me. I’m still waiting.

Hôtel très bien situé, très propre et avec un très bon accueil. Seul petit bemol, la chambre est assez petite. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Gute Lage. Ruhiges Zimmer. Klimatisiertes Zimmer.

Cons:

Es fehlt die Information, dass es keine Plätze für Fahrräder gibt. Hätte ich das von vornherein gewusst, hätte ich eine andere Unterkunft gewählt. Der Vorschlag, unsere Räder draussen auf der Strasse abzustellen, war ja keine wirkliche Alternative.

Vrlo ugodan boravak na odličnoj lokaciji u samom centru Basela. Osoblje nam je zaista izašlo ususret, omogućili su nam raniji check-in i ranije očišćenu sobu jer smo imali vrlo rani let. Zbog problema s klimom bez problema su nam ustupili drugu sobu.

Posebno bismo pohvalili izuzetno ljubazno i susretljivo osoblje, a naročito recepcionerku Ilonu, koja je bila vrlo profesionalna i spremna pomoći u svakom trenutku.

Smještaj je ugodan, lokacija izvrsna i svakako bismo ga ponovno odabrali.

High quality, friendly hotel with delicious breakfast!
Pros:

Lovely helpful staff. Very comfortable Yair conditioned room to a high standard. We could store our bikes in the computer area. Delicious breakfast!!! Would stay there again.
