Pros:

I loved the position and the unusual character of the property. Had everything I needed and was very comfy. So much nicer than staying somewhere beige and grey!

de locatie is helaas het enigste mooie aan het hele verblijf.

Cons:

Ik vrees dat alles beter had gekunt. Hope & Anchor is ergens onderweg de liefde voor de plek helemaal kwijt geraakt. armoeiige kamers waarbij je je afvraagt of de lakens wel schoon zijn.. een ontbijt dat al klaar staat vanaf de dag ervoor .. erg jammer want de potentie van de plek is er wel. Ik wens de uitbaters toe dat ze weer de energie vinden om alles terug aan te pakken en the love weer in Hope & Anchor te brengen.

Hope and Anchor
Pros:

It was a lovely peaceful setting just what we needed to recharge .stunning views of Hadrians wall and although out of the way there are 2 pubs that do good food .

Cons:

There was nothing not to like , well situated from the hustle and bustle .

Pros:

Moc hezké ubytování, prostředí v okolí nádherné. Velmi blízko začátku Hadrian's wall path a restauracím. Majitel byl velmi milý a nápomocný. Měly jsme vše, co jsme potřebovaly.

Cons:

Trochu horší dostupnost MHD - chtěly jsme jet busem, ale 2x nejel (není chyba ubytování, jen je potřeba brát v potaz).

Fab! Clean, Comfy, Helpful Staff
Pros:

Welcoming staff, great amenities, very clean, super comfy, great location, good value for money.

I stayed in the Hadrian room which had a double bed and a single, ensuite, TV, kettle...

Cons:

The shower was a little fiddly but the instructions on the wall made it easy to use.

Eccentric but a good value accommodation option
Pros:

Quirky enterprise but not without its charm. The room was tastefully decorated and everything was provided. Breakfast is help yourself which I have no issue with.

Cons:

People who come to stay here need to be aware that there is no evening food. If you want a meal then it’s a mile’s walk to Bowness or bring your own bike (like I did)

Location was good for doing the walk

Cons:

Room was small and access to the toilet in the bathroom wasn’t easy when there was light but at night was a nightmare, they say you get what you pay for and that was true here, there were other rooms available that we could of been given which were better than what we were given.

Location distance to gretna green was misrepresented yet again !!! Accomodation suposedly bar and restaurant not open and badly closed off
