Lovely stay overall - I would return in a heartbeat.
Pros:

This is the most peaceful place I've ever been to, after the Maldives. From the pool area you can take the steps directly to the lake, where you will find a lovely beach with crystal clear waters. I would recommend water shoes to walk over the rocks in the shallow parts. One night we had dinner on the hotel restaurant's terrace , and we were the only people there. The food was really good, but what was better was the silence - the only sound was the lapping waves. I visited during the week, and I was informed that the hotel might be a bit loud during the weekend as it hosts private events - so this might be worth considering when booking the dates.

A heated indoor pool with a mirrored ceiling which my daughter loved. I appreciate that this hotel allows kids to enjoy the indoor pool along with the adults. It was not busy during our stay.

Cons:

The breakfast was varied with quite a good choice, but still falling slightly short of what you would expect of a 5 star hotel. There is no bar service for coffee, for instance, and everyone is left to their own devices at the machine. The bread was dry, seemed to be defrosted, and that was a disappointment given all the bakeries in Ohrid with daily fresh bread. Serving dishes were also constantly left open by patrons, and the food got cold.

The room was on the small side and the children's foldable bed was really hard, and the fridge froze all our drinks - but the rest of the room amenities were ok.

The outdoor infinity pool has a breathtaking view but was ice cold on both days we tried swimming in the afternoon.

This hotel should not be considered five stars! We were extremely uncomfortable and disappointed with the hotel in every aspect.

The reception staff are unfriendly and uninformative. The other staff in the restaurant were nice!

The rooms are disgusting. There’s mould all over the shower and bugs present while you shower. The bathroom bench was decaying and falling apart. The overall cleanliness was very poor.

The air conditioning in our room leaked every day onto the floor.

There was a huge bee nest on our balcony making it difficult to enjoy the only good thing about this hotel which was the view.

The bedding was inadequate and uninviting. They did not push the two single beds together or give us an adequate queen or king size bed for a couple staying together.

The skirting boards were visibly broken on the corners of the room and left on the floor. The walls were absolutely filthy, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls as well.

The wifi didn’t work. The elevators were also clunky.

The hotel failed to inform us of two weddings that were booked whilst we were staying prior to our booking.

The breakfast was subpar, empty and cold most mornings despite arriving early, we heard guests complain to us and around us multiple times.

The fruit was brown and unappealing. It was also freezing cold inside most mornings. There was also no toaster to toast any bread…

This is by far one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at and we were sadly fooled by its rating and deceiving photos. When we did change hotels on our travels in Athens to stay with The Fiction we felt like we were staying at a palace compared to this place.

The only positive thing was the view and the breakfast staff.

Fairly decent, a bit more expensive than I'd like
Pros:

Undeniably the view. Breathtaking. The breakfast options were decent and it tasted rather alright for hotel food.

Food rating:

Cons:

The sauna is too old, tiles on the inside pool are missing, outdoor pool super cold.

Overpriced run down Soviet era hotel, badly maintained with a few new tiles here and there

Nice Location, Great Lake, Great sunsets

Cons:

It’s like a Soviet era hospital with a couple of new tiles in reception… the beds were horrible, lights off in corridors, sewer smell through the lower levels. The main stairs going down to the beach were all broken. Drainage issues in the bathroom.

Cons:

Nicht funktionierende Duscharmaturen. Nicht vollständig funktionierende Klimaanlage. Ausbesserungswürdige Sockelleisten.
