The strongest point of this property was the location - it was within easy walking distance to restaurants, minimarts, public transport and the key attractions in the historic centre of Candelaria. From my experience, because there were always so many people walking around, as well as security personnel on the streets, it was completely safe both in the day and night. .Staff for the most part was very helpful and patient as someone not fluent in Spanish. My first check in was seamless and completed within about 10 minutes. Also the property is very budget friendly. I also got a room upgrade and I really appreciated having a private bathroom.
I stayed at this property initially for 3 nights after which I extended my stay for an entire week. The second time I checked in, the person at front desk was clearly not too conversant with the reservation system, plus the system appeared was malfunctioning, so that caused some delay and back and forth of about half an hour. Fortunately, they eventually allowed me to complete check in the next day when reservation system was working again.
The rooms are quite small and there is nowhere to hang up clothes except for a four coat hooks. The bathrooms on the ground floor are, in my frank opinion, unacceptable for a hospitality establishment - the toilet, shower and face basin are literally all in the same enclosure, with the shower basically over the toilet and the face basin - not only is it very cramped and awkward but the floor and toilet seat are always wet. The bathrooms on the middle and top floor are standard bathrooms, where the shower is a separate enclosure from the face basin and toilet area, so I was most appreciative to get a room upgrade. There was also no internet access in the room on the ground floor but in my upgraded room, the internet speed was acceptable and there was even a TV with streaming service.
I was also quite shocked that the door to the ground floor room had no key - they tried to placate me by saying that the door was right next to a ceiling mounted camera in the hallway but I made sure that I left no valuables in that room when I was not there.
The property listing indicates access to a kitchen, but I think they need to specifically state that it is a shared kitchen with limited hours of access. As I said earlier, there are many affordably priced restaurants near the property so I just dined out during my entire stay. Although I would have preferred to cook my own meals sometimes for health reasons, at least I got to experience authentic Colombian cuisine.

Absolutamente todo es terrible en tema instalaciones: el ruido del.hotel. todo el día hay demasiado ruido por el diseño del hotel, los colchones y almohadas terribles, limpieza cero, los baños daban asco,etc. El peor hotel en el que he estado
