This beautiful hotel was full of charm and quirk whish is exactly what I was looking for.
On site restaurant was fab and staff were lovely 💖
The accessibility is not great but to be expecting in a building of this age and accommodations had definitely been made to aid this.
The dinning room was very good well laid out and clean after ordering it was not long before our meals arrived the same applied to breakfast.

Das Hotel liegt verkehrsgünstig mitten im Ort mit Biergarten und kostenlosen Parkplätzen. Es ist ein altes uriges Haus mit vielen gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten im Restaurant. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und verfügte über eine Klimaanlage!
Das Essen im Pub hat uns nicht so gut geschmeckt. Es wirkte wie aufgewärmt

Staff were pleasant and the accommodation was what was expected from a historical inn.
The drinks were over priced compared to other public houses in the town, about 25% more for the same product. Some of the menu items were disappointing, for example the Crab Salad was a case of hunt the crab...

Very quiet in hotel bar
The staff were all very friendly & helpful even in the face of adversity. A massive thunderstorm caused leaks & flooding but they handled it all very professionally and normal service was resumed quickly ☺️ It’s a very quaint and quirky building and we heard no noise from other rooms once tucked up at night.
Helpful staff. Secure bicycle storage. Comfortable room with every convenience. Great breakfast. Very reasonable price. Tutbury is a lovely place.
The room was clean, comfortable and well-furnished.
The plumbing was noisy, especially when trying to sleep. But in a Grade 2 listed building, there is not much that can be done about this; and it certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.
Great staff, building, room and breakfast. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The Sunday lunch was delicious. Very big portions.
The A/C wasn't working properly.
Staff were polite.
Booked a family room because wanted the large bath as shown in the booking dot com reservation (pictured). Went between the various rooms available to see that the other rooms had a standard bath with shower built in and this booking showed the standing bath and nothing on the booking details says the facilities shown may not match what is actually booked. Already disappointed with not getting the facilities booked, I could not have a bath anyway as there was a burn in the bottom of the tub.
