The room was clean, comfortable and well-furnished.
The plumbing was noisy, especially when trying to sleep. But in a Grade 2 listed building, there is not much that can be done about this; and it certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.
Great staff, building, room and breakfast. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The Sunday lunch was delicious. Very big portions.
The A/C wasn't working properly.
Staff were polite.
Booked a family room because wanted the large bath as shown in the booking dot com reservation (pictured). Went between the various rooms available to see that the other rooms had a standard bath with shower built in and this booking showed the standing bath and nothing on the booking details says the facilities shown may not match what is actually booked. Already disappointed with not getting the facilities booked, I could not have a bath anyway as there was a burn in the bottom of the tub.

Very quiet on the Friday night ie empty bar and got woken up very early by delivery lorry unloading
Restaurant food was not really very good
Room was spacious and clean and full of character.Nice to have a mini fridge in the room and real milk.Staff were helpful and polite.
Breakfast time was 7-9am which was a little early finishing time for us after the long journey the previous day and didn't feel like rushing in the morning just to make breakfast.
Great bar and restaurant with lovely outside spaces. Bedroom and bathroom was clean and well decorated
