Beautiful hotel and the grounds are stunning
Ein wunderschönes Hotel.
Außen historisch, aber toll renoviert
Es gab keinen richtigen Ruheraum im Spa
It was so beautiful and serene with lots of open space to explore. The staff were super nice, friendly and helpful, they were able to set up surprise birthday decorations (sourced by me) for my boyfriend’s birthday which was amazing. Breakfast was amazing and served to the table (only buffet style for the pastries, cereals and yogurt)
We visited during the heatwave and there was no air con. Appreciate it’s an older building but the fan just wasn’t cutting it in 30°+ degree heat
Accoglienza fantastica. Stanza bellissima e molto spaziosa. Parco meraviglioso con animali. Ristorante e servizio raffinato. Bella spa molto pulita
Nulla
It was very hot day, and we got the most upper room. The team I think should have minimum kept a cooler considering paying such a price.
The hotel is set in a beautiful historic mansion surrounded by stunning grounds, perfect for long walks and relaxing in nature. The gardens and outdoor areas are exceptionally well maintained and create a very peaceful atmosphere.
Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, especially in good weather. I didn't have the opportunity to use the spa facilities, but they appeared clean, modern, and well maintained. Dinner was pleasant, although it wasn't particularly memorable given the overall standard of the property.
Overall, a beautiful countryside retreat with exceptional grounds, though room comfort during hot weather could be improved.
Unfortunately, I was allocated a room in one of the outbuildings rather than the main house. During the heatwave, the room became extremely hot, with very little airflow and no air conditioning, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. I imagine the rooms in the main mansion, with its thick stone walls, are much cooler.
The hotel and grounds are exceptional. It’s a lovely building and the food was delicious. Loved everything.
Nothing to not like about it.
Lovely hotel with some aged charm. The food was lovely and the spa was a nice extra
Massage and SPA are excellent. Breakfast is good but not too many choice.
Their system on payment is strange. I got a £5 voucher but finally they charged me £5 more. It takes me back and forth on email to clarify it. It is really a stupid mistake. Be careful to check the bill.
The hotel was beautiful, we completely relaxed as soon as we arrived!! Our room was perfect, really spacious, calm, great view... The spa was really lovely, plus the massage we both had was amazing... The grounds were stunning and the breakfast was delicious...
The evening meal was quite pricey and limited for the type of stay we were there for (complete relaxation!), however we went into Cheltenham both nights and found some lovely restaurants, which was a bonus!!
It’s a beautiful setting and we really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks at the bar were overpriced - I was shocked at £19 for a glass of medium whispering angel. No bar menu was given to us so we didn’t know the price, and only two beers were available out of the beer & cider spa drink list. The spa was smaller than I thought it would be and thought the treatment was over priced for what it was - although, we both enjoyed them.
Beautiful building and our room was a lovely size. It did need a little sprucing up you f the edges like the bathroom skirting. The room would have been better with an air con unit as very warm and fan was loud. The restaurant food was exquisite and the breakfast was lovely too. The wine list was a bit too pricey.
