The hotel is in a beautiful location, and the historic building itself is stunning. The staff were lovely, polite and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was good, the food wasn't particularly special, but the room where it was served was lovely, we had breakfast to the sound of 20' music, played gently in the background.
Unfortunately, the rooms fell short of the standard we would expect from a four-star hotel. In one room, the air conditioning did not work, and the Wi-Fi was only available when the television was switched on, as it served as the hotspot. The mattress was very uncomfortable, with widely spaced springs that could be clearly felt.
There was also rust in the bath, one of the showers could only be used by holding the shower head, and the minibar door was broken.
Despite the beautiful surroundings and the welcoming staff, the condition and maintenance of the rooms let the experience down.

O hotel é muito bonito, é um hotel com história. O pequeno almoço e o jantar foram bons.
O quarto tem mobiliário antigo, on colchão não era confortável, havia teias de aranha na janela e saia àgua por trás do bidé.
Acomodações incriveis, equipe muito bem treinada e apesar de ser um imovel antigo, a limpeza estava impecável!!! Nem de perto mofo ou algo do tipo
The garden and palace outdoors looked great. Some of the indoor spaces and corridors with antique furniture were interesting even for memory photos. The pool space has an amazing atmosphere. Big parking area to fit all the guests' cars.
The room was extremely tight, and the view was very poor. Instead of the room with a view that we booked, we received a view of the backyard with the repairing works and some abandoned buildings, which didn't add any positivity to our room expectation. Be careful with the choice of the room, because the pictures on the website do not fit the reality. The breakfast options were pretty limited for the quantity of guests they had that weekend, and the main hall downstairs was busy with some wedding event with a loud music up to late night.

Llegamos a las 16 h y las habitaciones no estaban preparadas. El hotel es un poco decadente, no me parece que sea un 4 estrellas. Aún así estuvimos bien. Me esperaba más del spa.

I would describe staying at this hotel a time travel to early 20th century. The art deco and the music take you there. It might look old (some outside facilities to need improvement) but if you are willing to you can enjoy it very much. The rooms are very comfortable.
The staff could be nicer.

Hoje é perfeitamente possível termos WC modernos com estilo antigo. O WC do meu quarto estava velho, com sinais de humidade e ferrugem nas oartes metálicas das loiças.
A piscina interior não tem espreguiçadeiras para podermos usufruir do momento.
