From arrival parking, to booking in to booking out great first class. Breakfast all meals great. Thank you St George’s
Pros:

It’s a beautiful Victorian hotel, but modern too. Sit and have a coffee in the terrace and people as it’s right opposite the promenade! Staff are great, food superb. I had the best seafood linguine ever.

Cons:

Nothing to say oh only a seagull pecking the window but just ignore it and it went away.

Pros:

The whole place was very clean. Located right on the sea front near the pier. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in my price and was very tasty and served in a beautiful room.

Cons:

The sea view was only from quite a small window, but that is just because of the historic building.

Cons:

Bad service at dinner on the first night , because they were understaffed. The staff were most polite and apologetic, and offered us a refund. So thank you for that.

A night at the George
Pros:

The hotel is in an idea location to the centre of town and most shops. Also, the beach and promenade is just across the road. Perfect 👌

Cons:

Although we didn't have dinner at the hotel, we did sit in that area later. We could hear people struggling to order food as availability wasn't good.

it was a comfortable hotel and the meals were excellent..

Hotel nice, room not so.
Pros:

The hotel was inviting and staff very friendly and helpful , it is in a great location near the pier.

Cons:

The bedroom was basic, there were no plug sockets near the bed, one of the bedside lamps did not work
The TV was to the side and difficult to see without being on your side and it was not Smart TV - so no Netflix ! Breakfast again very basic.

A well looked after historical building, maintaining its historical features while adding a subtle more modern touch to areas and services as needed to meet todays expectations.
