The hotel felt very comfortable and a good atmosphere . Very well located for everything.
The staff were amazing. Nothing too much trouble. Friendly but efficient. There was a lovely slate decorated with happy wedding anniversary and 2 slices of chocolate cake.
Our bedroom was good. The only monor problem was the lighting. It was a very low wattage on the main bedroom light and the downlights in the bathroom could have been placed better. It needed one over the sink or one over the mirror. Very difficult to put make up for me and my husband to shave! It was kept very clean with housekeeping, who were very friendly as well.
Nice spacious room. Lovely large Terrace Bar overlooking the promenade. Beautiful breakfast room. Friendly helpful staff.
Inadequate car parking spaces (20 or so spaces), but perhaps to be expected for a beautiful older promenade hotel, where surrounding space is limited.

bed was made of rock, did not sleep well, lots of noise from the room upstairs on and off all night, very uncomfortable tight room, the whole hotel looked tired, new carpets required and improved cleaning required, breakfast very underwhelming

Room was lovely and kept especially clean, Breakfast were marvellous, enjoyed chatting to those staying at the hotel. every member of the staff were more than generous
our first evening and we booked evening dinner. my wife and myself enjoy more down to earth dinners. after the first night . we had evening dinner at a more suitable premises.
We felt our recent visit to St George's was spolit by the chaotic jobs fair on 17 September. We appreciate the hotel needs to run these events, however it created alot of disruption for paying guests, not only at breakfast but also through out the day. The Reception area in particular was crowded and noisy for most of the day. We are usually happy to pay top prices for the relaxing atmosphere. Perhaps guests should be pre advised of these events so they can decide if the want to pay for the disruption involved or book some other time.
