A very elegant and comfortable retreat
Pros:

This is a very civilised hotel, indeed. Sleek, modern, elegant and with a certain sense of drama as you are required to walk up a beautiful ramp on arrival that hugs the side of the hotel, alongside a a stream of running water. Our room was wonderful, with a magnificent view of the garden and the buddhist temples beyond. Very efficient and courteous service all around, and very nice breakfasts. Very easily recommended and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Cons:

This is a minor thing, but it doesn't have enough of a lounge downstairs to spend time in away from the bedroom. It's a cross between a lounge and an entrance hallway. It's elegant, but it isn't really a place for hanging out with a book. As I say, a very minor criticism.

Kyotaya bir daha ki sefer geldiğimizde yine kalmayı düşünürüm.
Pros:

Tesisi çok temiz odalar günlük çok iyi temizleniyor. Kahvaltı orta ancak genel olarak çok iyi bir konaklam ortamı var. Çok güzel gezinti yapılacak zen bahçesi var.

Cons:

Konum olarak biraz uzak merkeze.

The staff and their service was the differential, next level.
Pros:

Wonderful! It was a beautiful and the most comfortable stay of our trip to Japan. We visited a few hotels and this one stood out due to its staff and setting. We mostly stayed at 4-star hotels, but the one extra offered by this one was a leap relative to others. It was very clean, comfortable and so tranquil. The location was excellent too to slow down and experience the beautiful walks and gardens around. I wish we would have allocated more days to this one. I already miss it 🥲

Amazing way to experience traditional Kyoto
Pros:

Great staff, excellent service. Amazing garden view, peaceful. Out of all the Okura hotels we’ve stayed, this is our favorite.

Great location, easy to get around. Brilliant coffee shops and local mum and pop restaurants to eat from.
Pros:

Style was beautiful, staff were extremely helpful and made the stay that bit special. I visited for my honey moon and the staff remembered. Between 3pm to 6pm they offered complimentary drinks like wine and beer and even tea for those that don’t fancy a drink. Which was a nice touch.
Gym small, but never busy and just the right amount of stuff to get a workout in.
