Pros:

La gentillesse de leur personnel. Manquait une fenêtre dans notre chambre pour plus de confort en revanche aucun bruit et dans le centre de hanoi c’est très agréable. Emplacement idéal.

Notre vol décollait à 23h30 et ils ont accepté très gentiment de garder nos valises en attendant notre départ après le Check out de midi.
De plus, on nous a proposé de prendre une douche avant de partir pour l’aéroport.

Très bon emplacement à proximité du marché de nuit, des restaurants, du vieux quartier de hanoi.
Bonne literie, chambres au calme, très bon petit déj servi dans une annexe à 20m.

Une nuit pas plus pour l’emplacement qui au centre de la ville

L’emplacement et le personnel qui sauve l’hotel

Cons:

Titre : Personnel très sympathique, mais hôtel extrêmement décevant

Malgré un personnel très sympathique, accueillant et serviable, mon expérience dans cet hôtel a malheureusement été catastrophique.

Durant mon séjour de quatre nuits, j’ai dû changer de chambre presque quotidiennement, ce qui est particulièrement fatigant et empêche de s’installer confortablement et de profiter de ses vacances.

J’ai également été confronté à d’importants bruits de grattements et de déplacements provenant des murs et des plafonds, laissant suspecter la présence de nuisibles. Ces bruits m’ont empêché de dormir correctement pendant une grande partie de la nuit. Des odeurs désagréables étaient également présentes.

Autre point décevant : le petit-déjeuner n’est même pas servi dans l’établissement ! Il faut traverser la route pour se rendre dans un autre hôtel, ce qui n’est vraiment pas pratique.

L’état général des chambres et les prestations proposées ne correspondent absolument pas, selon moi, au standing annoncé.

Je tiens néanmoins à souligner la gentillesse du personnel, qui a essayé de trouver des solutions malgré les nombreux problèmes rencontrés.

En résumé, un personnel adorable, mais un établissement qui nécessite de sérieuses améliorations en matière d’entretien, de confort et d’organisation.

Malheureusement, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel en l’état.

Staying in the Old Quarter
Pros:

The location, the genuine experience of being in the old quarter, the proximity of cafes and eateries, the happy staff and the daily room service.

Cons:

The mould in the shower. It wasn't a lot but you kind of need to expect it as it's an old hotel in a very humid climate.

Cons:

This hotel on booking.com is rated as a 4* hotel. Not sure how booking.com came to this rating but I would put it more like a 2* hotel. I booked it as the photos on booking.com website looked good and as it was rated a 4* by them I booked it. Maybe booking.com needs to review this hotel's rating.
The decor was shabby. Paint work in rooms and hall ways were not up to hotel standards. Cleaning was just about adequate. The hot water in the shower was luke warm and despite me mentioning this to the receptionist a couple of times I was told it was all good and hot. This hotel could do with an update.
