Birch Hills Suites - Blue Ash

My first room's door wouldn't open up even though I was at the correct room and my key card was scanning green. I went to the front desk for help and she came to also try and it wouldn't work so she was able to reassign me a new room and dealing with all of this made me an hour late to my reunion. The new room's door did work but upon entry the heater was on 74 degrees. The floors were so greasy and oily I had to wear socks the entire time I was in the room and they got ruined and I had to throw them away. The wheels on my suitcase were also coated in whatever film the floor was covered in. There smell of smoke was everywhere I went across the property and barking dogs that kept me from sleeping. I understand the room was $70 for a night but I think basic cleanliness is something we all deserve. The bathroom was so gross I couldn't even bring myself to step in the shower. The shower vent was caked in dust, a towel bar was missing, the lining of the tub was black and brown and stains above the shower. The only reason I didn't leave was because my drive home was 6 hours to Tennessee and I had a long week in Ohio doing many events and needed a good night's sleep that I didn't get.

The vibes were not good. One big thing was the AC unit was extremely loud like literally wake you up in the middle of the night loud. Outside the room, the facilities were gross. The carpet was gross, the elevator reeked of cigarettes, and the people staying there (not to be judgemental) but gave crackhead/methhead vibes. It was freezing when I got in the room as well and the sheets/blanket provided did not keep me very warm

Building smelled of cigarette smoke and mold. The hallway had drywall damage along its entire length. Our door looked like somebody had tried to break it down with a bat. The room was mostly clean but the blanket was rough and the pillows were horrible. One had what looked like a cigarette burn on it.

There was holes in the walls. The sink in the bathroom was broken. The drawer in the kitchen had the front missing of the front. The lamp next to the bed did not work right. The bed on the couch had a stain on it. We had no sheets to put on the bed of the bed on the couch. I have pictures. They would not even give us any money back. Worst place I have stayed in.

Got to my room, the door looked like it was beat all over with a hammer. Went inside, the floors were filthy, no chair to sit at the desk (I was there for work) nothing but a couple plates and cups available, the counter tops were dirty, the bathtub was nasty, plus the room was NOT what I reserved off booking. I did not stay. Was still charged $167 for the one night fee, when it was $208 plus tax for the 3 nights I had initially reserved. Staff not helpful nor did they care the room was unacceptable, still took my money!

They refused to refund me and continue to lie about it. I was compliant and respectful and just asked for a refund and 2 weeks later I still have yet to get it.

Do not stay here. They will screw you over. There are better crack head homes out on the streets than this.

They had cockroaches, the price was not good and they put us in a small room even though we paid extra to get the bigger one with a separate bedroom
