The location in Tavistock town was OK and the down to earth bar seemed nice.

Cons:

The general upkeep was poor and in the morning breakfast was cancelled clearly due to staff just watching the football the night before.

Great stay in a great pub
Pros:

Friendly atmosphere, staff were welcoming and helpful. Clean and comfortable, perfectly situated. Slept well. Great food with GF options in this lovely pub / hotel / inn. ( Evening meal and excellent breakfast - good selection - lovely well cooked breakfast)
Lots going on , used by the locals which is the sign of a good pub.

Basic but nice
Pros:

Location, walkable to the Wharf

Cons:

We had a meal, which was nice then found a discount voucher in our room after paying! Mentioned it to staff who knew we were staying over....just shrugged her shoulders. Could have at least Mentioned it when ordering.
