Good value for money, nice new hotel in the suburb of Kargil with exceptional staff
Pros:

Great staff who are doing everything to help you and give you advice. Especially Ali, who also gave me some good tips on where to go and what to see in the Kargil area.

Very nice hotel in Kargil
Pros:

It's a very nice hotel, with beautiful carved woodwork. It's fairly new, the staff is very friendly. Our motorbikes were parked in a closed courtyard.

The room itself is in essence very nice, roomy, with a cool ceiling.

The menu in the restaurant is fairly simple and completely vegetarian. It was very good food, diner and breakfast.

Cons:

The essence of the hotel is great, but lacks a little detail finishing and maintenance. For example some of the furniture looks a bit worn, even though the hotel is not very old. In one of our rooms the toilet seat was broken. Also some pictures on the walls would be nice.

A safety issue was that the door to the emergency stairs was locked, so the only way out would be via the elevator.
