Air con could be better

On the night of 8.February, the female receptionist on duty treated guests with extreme impatience and unfriendliness.
She was impatient and didn’t seem to care about providing good customer service, especially towards guests who are not good at English.
When checking in, I first said that I had reserved a bed, but I didn’t immediately say “check in.” She then spoke a long paragraph of English very fast. Because my English listening ability is not good, I didn’t understand and said “Sorry?”. She then spoke another long paragraph again. Later she said:
“So you want to check in?”
My God. I arrived here at 11:00 PM with a backpack. If I wasn’t checking in, what else could I possibly be here for? Did I travel a long distance just to come to your hostel to cancel my booking in person?
If I wanted to cancel, I would have done it online through the platform, not come all the way to your hostel to cancel face to face.
I booked a 6-bed dormitory. She assigned me a top bunk. When I checked in at around 11:00 PM, apart from me, no one else had checked into the room. I wanted to change to a lower bunk, because it is more convenient.
So I went to the front desk and politely asked if I could change to a lower bunk. I said politely:
“Could I change to a lower bunk?”
That female receptionist became extremely impatient. She spoke a lot of English again, but she did not use the words “bed” or “bunk”, so I still could not understand. I then directly pointed at the room card and asked again whether I could change to a lower bunk.
She responded in a very unfriendly and extremely impatient tone:
“You can chang another seat already!”
My God. Even though my English is not good, I clearly understand what it means and what kind of tone it has when “already” is used at the end of a sentence in this context.
A front desk staff member treating a guest in such an unfriendly and impatient way shows a complete lack of professional ethics. It made me feel deeply humiliated and discriminated...
