Great breakfast, really courteous and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble and well catered for with our four legged companion. Lovely short walks around the grounds.
The room was a little cramped (cozy) particularly with the dog, plus traffic noise albeit this is what we expected from previous stays. Did not put us off but will look for a larger room next time.
Good location for exploring the area. Staff very attentive and friendly.
Would have liked to have seen a cheaper bar meal option for dinner as opposed to just the higher priced restaurant.
The location was lovely, the hotel was set in lovely grounds.
The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble.
There was an engagement party being held on the evening we arrived and we were given the option of either staying in the actual hotel or in one of the outside rooms
The evening meal was absolutely superb and the breakfast delicious.
I personally do not like a bathroom with glass walls ,despite the blinds!
The room (14) has a pump near by and that disturbed sleep slightly but we appreciated being moved there instead of above the disco rrom

Lovely hotel in a rural location near to Tiverton. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff very helpful. It was nice to have a served (rather than buffet) breakfast with good choices. We also had an evening meal one evening which was equally as good.
Not a complaint, but note that If you would like to use the spa, you need to pre-book. I didn't so could not get the massage I was hoping for (my fault for not booking!).
Great location for an overnight stop en route to Cornwall from the West Midlands. Excellent dinner and breakfast.

Couple of minor issues:
Rooms on the 2nd floor, are quite stuffy, fans were used most of the time we were in the room.
My wife's scrambled egg on the first morning was almost omelette like!

Our room in the gatehouse was perfect apart from a slightly smelly drain in the bathroom.

Bed was really hard - I understand some people like this. Bathroom light kept coming on throughout the night.
We were initially put in the 'cottage' but it wasn't suitable as too noisy from the road and the garden around it was overgrown so couldn't open the windows, or walk round without scratching legs.
