Beautiful hotel with lovely, well-appointed rooms and an absolutely stunning view of the mountains. Waking up to that scenery is something special. The hotel itself is very charming and has all the facilities you could need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast deserves a special mention: very extensive and of excellent quality, a great way to start the day.
The bathroom has no shower. You have to shower in the bathtub, which is always a hassle. Also, the town is car-free and you have to take the train to get there, which wasn't entirely clear when booking. A bit of a hassle as well.

No AC. Flies EVERYWHERE - in your room, on your food, on you - everywhere. Service was that of a three star hotel at best. Shower is tiny and super awkwardly situated to actually shower in it.
The breakfast was wonderful. The staff hosting the breakfast was superb. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The common areas are very inviting.
Lovely establishment with some key drawbacks for the price you pay.
We booked a 5 night stay at this hotel well in advance to celebrate a key milestone. We booked what we thought was a premium room only to find out our room was not in the main building and was located on the 1st floor in a separate building. When I raised my concerns we were told the property was sold out and they could only find a room in the main lodge starting on the third night. The next morning we were told a room was available that day and I asked to see the room. The front desk pointed us to the room they were going to transfer us to and I accepted the exchange. We left for a day of hiking and upon our return we were led to a different room, with a less optimal layout and view. This whole process was very disappointing and frankly misleading. Also, usage of the balcony in the new room was limited because there was no sun shade and weeds were growing in the tiles which i would expect a five star establishment to address.

A little bit expensive, but that I guess is expected in Switzerland. It was great otherwise.
