Staff is super friendly. The hotel is very nice and clean.
Rooms are super nice, always clean, and the attention to detail is very high.
The shared comfort room with a sofa and free cake is amazing to spend the evening playing board games and reading after long hikes.
We also loved the dog cleaning facilities (our dog loved them a little bit less!).
Our dog learned immediately all the spots where he could get complimentary dog biscuits!
The position of the hotel is just perfect, as it is immediately next to Thornhill Trail, and only 20 minutes’ distance by car to a lot of other trails!
Nothing, everything was perfect. It was one of the best hotel we have ever been!

First time we've ever taken our dog away with us and this property was so accommodating as were the staff who were all great. Neil was the stand out, a stereotypical geordie, full of joy, fun and wit as well as helpful. He clearly enjoyed his job and life and it rubbed off.
Facilities were great incl the cinema and chill out room. Breakfast was superb. We had a pizza one evening in the restaurant. Was 7/10 and starters came with the main but apart from that we loved our stay and would come back or try the other hotel in Scarborough on the back of staying here.
We had read about road noise and asked for a quiet room at the rear of the hotel. We were given a room on the rear but it was close to the corner and hence still noisy. Was the only negative and the only reason I didn't give a 10/10 for everything.

Great location in the Peak District – easy to find and ideal for exploring. The hotel itself is very modern and clean compared to most UK hotels, with a lovely interior. We also liked that it is dog-friendly and offers bike rental. The restaurant was superb – dinner was a lovely experience, and the breakfast selection was amazing – a refreshing change from the usual standard fare, with quality, modern options that have clearly moved with the times.
However, we did have one significant issue. The room was uncomfortably hot during the night (wasn't during a heatwave), so we had to keep the window open. Unfortunately, our room faced a busy road, which made it nearly impossible to sleep through the night. Given the £230 price tag for one night, we found this really disappointing. For a hotel at this price point, investing in room air conditioning would make a huge difference.
Lovely location, well set up for outdoor focussed guests. Good bar and good food in the restaurant. Modern rooms with plenty of plugs.
Self check in and departure was a bit of a pain.
