Lovely hotel in Medellin
Pros:

The hotel seemed relatively new and the facilities were good. The room was big, with good aircon. The bed was huge and super comfy. There was free cold water available at reception which was a nice touch. The breakfast was really good.
The location was good as it was close to a lot of the nice restaurants in El Poblado.

Cons:

The soundproofing wasn’t great, for example when people were in the corridor the sound echoed into our room.
We didn’t love the rooftop bar and ended up leaving to go somewhere else. However it might just have been that we caught it on a bad day.
The hot water was unpredictable, so one morning we had to skip showering unless we wanted a cold shower.

Noise was pretty bad. We asked to be placed on the lower floors instead we were placed in the highest floor right above the rooftop. All the time you could hear the music and tables/chairs dragged from one place to other. Additional, we did check out and dropped our bags, right after wanted to take breakfast, but they said we couldn’t because we just did check out

What a city and what an experience. Would return to this hotel without hesitation.
Pros:

The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to engage you in discussion. The breakfast was excellent - they discuss your preferences as you go in and the food is fresh and flavoursome. The neighbourhood is epic - what a city and what an experience. For those that haven't been, you are within 5 minutes' walk of endless bars, restaurants and plenty of partying. The view from the rooftop bar is excellent, too.

Cons:

I have nothing to complain about.

Que estaba en un lugar céntrico

Cons:

El desayuno y el café malo. Puede mejorar. No había mucha limpieza en el área del desayuno. Las toallas de baño tienen que cambiarlas, tampoco dejaban las toallas completas para las personas hospedadas, dejaba basura en bolsas para que las botaran y no lo hacían.

Ya me había hospedado anteriormente en este lugar y siempre había tenido muy buenas experiencias, por eso decidí volver. En esta ocasión la estancia también fue buena, pero hubo un incidente que me dejó muy decepcionado.

El día de mi salida hice el check-out y dejé mis maletas bajo resguardo del hotel mientras salía a almorzar. Al regresar, me di cuenta de que había olvidado mis audífonos de trabajo en la habitación. Los había dejado sobre el escritorio, donde trabajé todos los días durante mi estancia.

Reporté la situación inmediatamente en recepción, pero me informaron que la habitación ya había sido limpiada y que no había ningún objeto reportado como encontrado. Según me indicaron, no había rastro de los audífonos y nadie sabía qué había pasado con ellos.

Es una pena, porque era un lugar que realmente me gustaba y al que pensaba seguir regresando. Sin embargo, esta situación me dejó una sensación muy negativa. Más allá de la pérdida, me decepcionó la falta de una solución o de mayor interés en investigar lo ocurrido. Una gran decepción.

The only thing I truly liked about Somos was the location. The area was really good, with plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and rooftops nearby, which made it convenient and enjoyable to explore the city. Unfortunately, aside from the location, the overall experience did not meet my expectations. The service and accommodations were underwhelming, and I expected a much better experience for the price and reputation.

Cons:

Unfortunately, aside from the location, the overall experience did not meet my expectations at all. The room was extremely dark, and there was no natural light to enjoy because there was construction directly outside my window. The construction noise was horrible throughout the stay and made it difficult to relax. On top of that, there was very little privacy, and the room was not practical since there were no power outlets near the bed.

Another issue was that you had to contact the front desk for almost everything, which became frustrating. I also paid for breakfast, but there were only two options available, and neither was appealing or accommodating for dietary restrictions.

At night, the hotel closes the entrance gate for safety reasons, but the employee responsible was rarely there, so we constantly had to wait outside to get in. Additionally, the food service at Mosquito closed at 8 PM during weekdays, leaving guests with no food options available on the property afterward.

Overall, I did not enjoy my stay and expected a much better experience considering the price and reputation of the hotel.

Las habitaciones muy bonitas, camas muy cómodas. Personal muy atento.

Cons:

Todo excelente. Lo único fue que en el desayuno nunca hubo jugos solo agua o café. Pero los alimentos estaban muy buenos.

Amazing staff, great location and even better chef food!
Pros:

Location was perfect, beds were super comfy and the staff was amazing. The daily breakfast the chef made was the best part, amazing food!! Bonus having a rooftop bar as well.

Cons:

I did not like that next to our room at night they would move a bunch of chairs and make noise in the middle of the night. They seem to have been preparing for an event the next day but I feel like it could have waited until the morning instead of in the middle of the night while sleeping. Other than that, i will 100% book here again.
