Pros:

Good parking area. Easy access to hotel and room. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Huge great breakfast! Karen, serving us in the breakfast room, was great...thank you Karen! Pub, just 5 mins walk was wonderful for our evening meals and a drink or too! There was also a good fish and chip shop very close. Wonderful stay.

Pros:

Breakfast was excellent

Cons:

Hi previously we stayed in 2 rooms about 6 weeks ago rooms 14 & 15 ? My brother and I were occupants.
I left a good review.
This time it was my wife and I in one room and my brother in another.
We were in 4 & 6 . The rooms were dissappointing with very low head room, a bathroom where a man couldn't stand up to pee, a flush that didn't work effectively (room 4) and the bathroom floor (room 4) appeared to be dirty (maybe just waterstained). The TV in room 4 didn't have the same channels as the one in room 14.
The entry system on the doors works fine but has a fundamental problem which prevents the doors being closed without banging them (e.g. The knob on the outside doesn't retract the latch to allow a quiet closure, unless the code is entered, which no one will do when exiting the room!).
Similarly the back door was repeatedly banging in the morning.
The breakfast was excellent, being served by a very friendly lady.
I would not want to stay in one of those upper story rooms again (unless maybe as a single).

Pros:

Struttura un po' datata ma nel complesso più che accettabile. Discreta colazione; pulizia nella media; letti alti e un po' troppo morbidi...non il top.

Perfect spot for a transitional stay between locations.
Pros:

The self check in process was perfect once I had the code (which was delayed). The breakfast was ideal and in a cozy location.

Cons:

The bed was very, very, soft (I'm talking partially deflated balloon soft).

Pros:

Friendly breakfast staff
Easy check in

Cons:

Decor very old,
No water pressure, loo would not flush, couldn't shower
Contacted staff to ask to split beds from double to twin, they agreed to help before 9pm but did not attend and did not offer any help.
This is unacceptable, I booked and paid for 4 rooms and felt very disappointed

pete/heaths walking break
Pros:

Check in was easy, first time doing self Check in, worked well, breakfast was excellent, had to ask for smaller portions on cooked English, and really tasty, plenty of other choices too, definitely recommend. Plenty of parking spaces.

Cons:

Although the bedroom in general was ok, the bed in my view was uncomfortable, very soft/saggy, presumably a new mattress would do the trick. Also with only staying three nights we said to staff we would not require our room to be serviced, cleaned, which was agreed, alas this was soon forgotten as someone came in the room and did just that!!!!!

The Dalesgate suffers from lack of investment. Has the potential to be a lovely stay if only money was spent on staff a
Pros:

The staff were friendly.
Clean towels
Keyless access
Continental element of the breakfast.

Cons:

Very overgrown
Carpark was a dumping ground
Hot water tap in en-suite washbasin did not work
Old plastic water bottle under the bed.
Mould on floor by bath
Cooked element of the breakfast.
Room generally mucky.
