Cozy pub hotel, good for one night in London 🍺

What we liked:
Yorkshire Grey Pub & Rooms is a small hotel above a pub, and for London the price was quite reasonable. We stayed only one night before flying further, and overall it worked well for us.

The room was compact, but fresh, cozy and well equipped: coffee machine, tea, small snacks, water in the fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer and a shower cabin ☕ There was no proper reception, as everything is handled downstairs in the pub, but the staff were very friendly — they showed us the room and explained everything.

There is also a pub downstairs where you can have a beer, plus Mexican food. A supermarket is just around 50 meters away, which is very convenient.

What we didn’t like:
The room is quite small and there is no air conditioning, only two fans — one ceiling fan and one table fan. Since it was hot, we opened the windows, and it was noisy from the street traffic. Earplugs were provided in the room, which helped a bit.

Overall, a nice and decent mini-hotel for a short stay, especially if the price is good.

perfect location and very gentle staff. Also the discount on the pub's food is great. Water and coffee plus snacks were always provided for free everyday in the room!

Everything was great! The room is beautiful and clean, the location is perfect. It was quite warm because of a heatwave, but two fans in the room made a real difference. The room has everything you need. Would happily stay again!

We stayed here during a London heatwave and had a good experience thanks to the incredibly kind and attentive owners. The location is great and very convenient for getting around the city.

The accommodation is just three rooms above a characterful pub. Our rooms didn't have air conditioning, and during the heatwave opening the window let in quite a bit of street noise. However, the owners went above and beyond: when their suite (the only room with aircon) was free one night, they upgraded us at no extra cost so we could get a comfortable night's sleep. That kind of thoughtfulness really stands out and made our stay memorable.

The pub itself is air-conditioned and a lovely place to relax during the day or evening, and we were treated to a free welcome drink on arrival.

The owner also mentioned they plan to install air conditioning in all the rooms. Would absolutely recommend, and we would definitely come back, especially once the aircon is fitted across all rooms. A fantastic choice with hosts who make all the difference.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, huge. Great location with plenty of nearby tube stations.

Tolle Lage, außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal und Zimmer mit viel Charakter. Wer eine authentische und charmante Alternative zu den üblichen Hotelketten sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Mein Tipp: Unbedingt Zimmer Nr. 1 buchen – das klare Highlight des Hauses und den Aufpreis absolut wert. ⭐️

We received complimentary drinks on arrival in the bar area, and the staff were so so friendly and helpful! The room was UNREAL! We had the biggest room and I actually said WOW we walked in! So clean, comfy bed, bath in the room was lovely, just overall an amazing place to stay! Will 1000% be returning here! Thank you!
