Kevin gave us a very warm welcome and was genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay. He also helped us with our luggage, which we really appreciated.
We stayed in a small but nicely equipped room. The shower was fine, the bed was cozy, and overall the room had everything we needed for a one-night stay in London.
The location is quite central, with easy access to public transportation, making it convenient to get around London quickly.

The main issue for us was the street noise. During the night it was somewhat tolerable, but as soon as the sun started to rise, it honestly felt like being inside a cartoon — every few moments there was a different sound: cars passing, horns, construction noise, and more. This is not just something that would bother particularly light sleepers; the noise is significant. While some street noise is obviously expected in central London, it felt much worse than usual here. Our room faced the street, and there seemed to be almost no sound insulation.
One small note for anyone arriving with luggage: there is no elevator, which is clearly stated when booking. It was a little more challenging in practice than we expected, although Kevin kindly helped us carry our bags.
Nice pub, nice rooms, nice staff
Personel sprawił, że nasz wyjazd urodzinowy był jeszcze bardziej wyjątkowy. Pokój był niesamowity. Bardzo wygodne łóżko, dostępny aneks kuchenny, wanna, prysznic. Idealna lokalizacja. Po wymeldowaniu możliwość przechowania bagażu. Wspaniali ludzie tu pracują i to dzięki nim nasz pobyt nie mógł być lepszy!

Ok, it really needs proper air con. It was hot in the room, with just a fan. We didn’t stay in the heatwave, just normal summer. Couldn’t have the windows open really because it’s on a busy road with sirens going through the night. Proper air con would make the room perfect!

Cozy pub hotel, good for one night in London 🍺
What we liked:
Yorkshire Grey Pub & Rooms is a small hotel above a pub, and for London the price was quite reasonable. We stayed only one night before flying further, and overall it worked well for us.
The room was compact, but fresh, cozy and well equipped: coffee machine, tea, small snacks, water in the fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer and a shower cabin ☕ There was no proper reception, as everything is handled downstairs in the pub, but the staff were very friendly — they showed us the room and explained everything.
There is also a pub downstairs where you can have a beer, plus Mexican food. A supermarket is just around 50 meters away, which is very convenient.
What we didn’t like:
The room is quite small and there is no air conditioning, only two fans — one ceiling fan and one table fan. Since it was hot, we opened the windows, and it was noisy from the street traffic. Earplugs were provided in the room, which helped a bit.
Overall, a nice and decent mini-hotel for a short stay, especially if the price is good.
perfect location and very gentle staff. Also the discount on the pub's food is great. Water and coffee plus snacks were always provided for free everyday in the room!
