Extremely helpful, very kind experience.
Pros:

We arrived very late, they accommodated our 4am checkin and provided extra blankets.
The following morning, the reception flagged down a bus for us and organised our connection to Dam Thuy, very kind staff.
The contact on WhatsApp took every step imaginable to facilitate our travels to incredible lengths.

Pros:

Hôtel tenu par une famille très agréable et à l écoute de sa clientèle.
Légèrement à l écart du centre ville, l'hôtel loue des scooters pour remédier à cela et j'ai pu avoir un easy-driver pour un journée entière afin de visiter les sites de la région à un prix raisonnable.
Comme souvent au Vietnam, les lits sont rudes et l'équipement et un peu daté mais tous cela reste correct.
le gros plus est vraiment la gentillesse et la disponibilité de cette famille.
laverie en face et restaurants tout autour..

Cons:

la literie, les aboiements nocturnes.
une petite peinture ne ferait pas de mal

Go stay here and use the hotel as a base to explore north Vietnam
Pros:

The family who run this hotel are amazing people.. Lượng was able to arrange bikes for my country side tour, dining options in town, scooters, and a taxi for me in my amazing week at cao bang, !

Twice I had a difficulties in the local area and both times Lượng went out of his was to help and was able to resolve on my behalf.. one banking issue and a technical problem with passport could have been a disaster but Lượng saved me and solved the problem!!!

In his own words he… “knows what tourists want”. But the way he could help me with difficult situations was outstanding and I can’t thank him enough for saving me a lot of stress.

Pros:

Very good place to stay - only about 2km from the central intercity bus station. The room was spacious and clean. Beds are a bit harder as everywhere.

The people there are very kind, helped us with itinerary, rented a bike and stored our bags.

The check-in at 4am was not a problem at all.

Really recommend this place! Thank you for everything.

Quiet hotel, good for a night or two, nice family, we liked the local area around us
Pros:

Quiet hotel, good for a night or two when starting the Cao Bang loop or to explore the city. The family is very nice. Everything seems a bit dated especially the bathroom, but we would still return. Beds are on the very firm side but you get a very airy and light room which is very rare in Vietnam for this price range.
