Mt. Vernon Motel

We got double charged for the room. Once from booking.com and once from Mt. Vernon themselves. I showed them and even printed the booking.com receipt. They ignored me and told me to take it up with booking.com and my credit card company. We checked in at 4pm on Saturday. Went to eat. Came back around 6:30 to shower and relax. They said they have HBO - what they mean is they have 5 hbo channels on cable tv. No biggie. I go to shower and there’s bugs everywhere. Not photoed was the bug eggs in the shower I saw and immediately cleaned up for them. I checked out at 7pm the same Saturday due to being so uncomfortable.

I think it needs some upgrades microwave didn't work every time I flushed the toilet i thought it was going to break. Sink was a rough shape. . Air system looked like it needed to be clean. The people next door checked out and left the door open. I think it was open all day. I.closed it when I got there from work. Overall not great. Price good though.

Lamp base all rusted

Broken blinds and curtains, no soap, overall appearance. No coffee maker and none at the front desk either.

Dozens of flies hatched on the second night of our stay. We had an infestation. The more I killed, the more they kept appearing. No one was staffed at night or even in the morning when I left. I called the 2 numbers posted on their door. No answer, but an hour later a man showed up with a fly swatter and broom, which I requested via voicemail in desperation. What I really wanted was another room. I didn't get any sleep that night. No apology, no offer to refund my stay, no nothing.

There's traffic noise from Lebanon Road. There is no noise buffer. The wifi was not reliable in the room, but everything worked out anyway, and the manager would have allowed me to sit in the office on the couch to use the office wifi if I had needed to.

I couldn’t connect to WiFi and the outlet where the tv was plugged in didn’t work I had to use a extension cord to watch tv. They do not supply soap in the hotel the only thing they had was rags and towels

I know prices change from online to in person but we over paid. We got this room because it was cheap and we didn't want to spend over $100. Well we paid that plus and there was nothing with the room. Had to go out and buy hand soap and other shower needs. Plus the sink wasn't attached to the wall and the dressor drawers were all screwed and coming apart. Couldn't use it if I wanted to. I would have paid the same price somewhere else and would have had atleast hand soap.
