I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation
Pros:

Although the location is not the most convenient, this is common for the region. The hotel itself is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the Italian cuisine is outstanding. The view from the balcony overlooking the volcano, the beach, and the city is simply breathtaking. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and the staff are always happy to help with transfers and any requests. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation

Great value for money. Park in front of the hotel, sideways. If you are renting, get Toyota AYGO

Bathroom is next level experience. All niche and new.

Cons:

Beds are too soft. TV is outdated. If you are bringing Fire TV stick or any other streaming USB, prepare to have a thinner HDMI adapter, otherwise no luck of plugging it in.

Villa Greta is een plek waar je niet alleen verblijft, maar waar je je echt welkom voelt.

Ons verblijf bij Villa Greta was de perfecte start van onze 7-daagse rondreis door Sicilië. We verbleven hier twee nachten in juni met onze drie kinderen, en vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons ontzettend welkom.
De warme en hartelijke ontvangst zorgde ervoor dat we ons direct thuis voelden. De gastvrijheid van de eigenaren maakte echt het verschil en gaf ons verblijf een heel persoonlijk gevoel.
Het uitzicht is werkelijk adembenemend: uitkijken over de zee en de prachtige stad Taormina is iets wat we niet snel zullen vergeten. Elke ochtend begonnen we de dag met een uitgebreid en gevarieerd ontbijt, waarbij werkelijk aan alles was gedacht. Vers, heerlijk en de ideale start van een dag vol ontdekkingen. We kijken met veel plezier terug op ons verblijf en zouden zonder twijfel opnieuw voor Villa Greta kiezen. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die Taormina bezoekt!

Overall, Villa Greta has spectacular views and good food, but considering its location, housekeeping, and overall guest
Pros:

Villa Greta offers breathtaking panoramic views over Taormina and the sea, which is undoubtedly its biggest advantage. The breakfast was above average, and the restaurant served very good food-we especially enjoyed the burrata, lasagna, and tuna spaghetti.

Cons:

However, there are several downsides to consider. The hotel is quite far from the beach, and getting there every day becomes tiring. You either have to walk a lot or use the cable car, which often has very long queues, especially in the afternoon when returning from the beach. Taxis are available but quite expensive.

Housekeeping could also be improved. Although we were told that towels would be changed daily, ours were only replaced after three days and only after we specifically requested it.

The staff were generally polite and tried to be helpful, but at times we felt slightly uncomfortable. On our last day, after checking out, we had to wait several hours for our transfer to Catania Airport. We asked if we could stay in the restaurant area and order coffee and lunch at our own expense, which they agreed to. However, we were repeatedly asked when we would be leaving, giving us the impression that they wanted us to vacate the space as soon as possible. It wasn’t rude, but it didn’t feel particularly welcoming either.

L'accueil à 21h a été catastrophique. Nous avions prévenu de notre horaire d'arrivée et n'avons pas reçu de consigne pour garer notre voiture....nous avons tourné une heure car le parking de l'hôtel était plein et la personne de l'accueil ne nous a pas du tout aidé pour trouver une solution bien au contraire, elle nous a accablé de reproche. La chambre était petite, la salle de bain vieillotte et minuscule, bref nous avons fui dès le lever du jour.

Pros:

Unser Zimer war wunderschön mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht! Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir konnten uns richtig erholen. Leider sind wir nur eine Nacht geblieben, was wir das nächste Mal sicher nicht mehr machen werden. Ein wirklich traumhaftes Hotel!
