Breakfast choices and a chef who makes fresh omelettes or fried eggs. Room and bathroom size is good. Great location. Friendly and helpful reception & kitchen staff very efficient.
Bathroom could have a proper space / table for cosmetic & toiletry bag. Room (220) bed arrangement is not ideal as one person has to squeeze through to get in/out. Maybe a re-arrangement of the bed will help. Blanket provided was only for 1 person, the other was in the cupboard without a cover sheet.

Lovely location - walk along to the end of Platform 1 and you're a few steps from the entrance!
No bar onsite (that we could see) but we found the Irish pub just down the hill which was great
Aussicht und das Zimmer
The hotel is right next to Montreux station and can be accessed directly from platform 1 (rather than following the Google Maps instructions to leave the station and go by the main street, which involves an uphill walk). The hotel itself was quite unique in design and decor (hint: the name is very literal!), and the staff was also very helpful with all our requests. The coin-operated laundry machines on the basement floor were also very helpful, and we really appreciated having a mini-fridge in the room (which is apparently exceptionally rare in Swiss hotels, given that only 2/6 of the places we stayed at in Switzerland even had one) due to it being very hot outside.
Unfortunately, the room was not equipped with any cooling air conditioning besides a rotating fan, which was insufficient given the extreme summer heat. (This seems to be the norm for a majority of hotels in Switzerland, at least for where we stayed.) Also, you could very clearly hear whenever trains would pass, given that the hotel is located next to train tracks, which could be difficult for sensitive sleepers (though it does stop after around midnight).

Chambre très propre qui contient l'essentiel. Décoration sobre, présence d'une machine à café dans la chambre, très bien. A 10 minutes à pied en descente vers les quais de Montreux.
Petit déjeuner correct, buffet apprécié.
Un peu plus de personnalisation pour la chambre.
