Another nice stay in Masham, shame about the room size.
Pros:

Stayed here many times and always ask for a room overlooking the market square. Nice enough room (see below) and a decent bathroom. Dining area well laid out and not overcrowded and a good breakfast was served in the same room. Food and drink to a good standard. Plenty of free parking outside or in the market square via an honesty box.

Cons:

Unfortunately on our arrival they were unable to locate the keys for our room so we accepted another along the corridor. Now I cannot say that we didn't have a double room. But of the 4 rooms on this floor overlooking the market square, this was by far the smallest. pity! At least I know which to ask for on our next stay.
Apparently the King's Head has had a bit of a makeover but I can't say I noticed much different.

Sadly won’t be returning again
Pros:

Location is perfect for a visit to Masham

Cons:

Considering the property is less than 100yards from Theakstons brewery you would expect to be able to get a good pint, sadly not !! The Theakstons best bitter was well past its best, flat & had very poor smell.
The Bed was firm but very uncomfortable & the pillows were the most synthetic things I’ve ever seen.
The shower above the bath was simply “Useless”

Disappointing stay - previous 6 stays were good I asked to speak to a manager- he/she did not materi
Pros:

breakfast was very good and was well presented

Cons:

Inadequate staff to cope with level of orders being made and we were told to wait a half hour before we could order food and that priority was given to residents who had made a reservation -we were residentsThe barkeep said we could not could not charge drinks to our room as this was company policy

We enjoyed the stay as we all love Masham great little place to stay and the hotel is central.
Pros:

Room was clean facilities good I asked for a ground floor room and was given on straight away.
Dinner was good as was the wine.
Breakfast as always excellent.

Cons:

Could have been told I would have to pay the bill before we went to bed it was left to one of our party to pay which wasn't ideal as it was a treat from us and we has gone to bed early. I was not told this was the policy change as when we have stayed before we just paid on departure.
