Don’t stay here for more than 1-2 nights- you’ll go insane
Pros:

Good location, everything else severely disappointing

Cons:

Rooms are deceptively small, very cramped and not an acceptable size for 2 people. The bathroom is tiny and it was unclean.

Awfull smell and room condition. Avoid family room
Pros:

The location. Central, close to many attractions and restaurants. Walkable. The (free) espresso coffee machine at the reception.

Cons:

The absence of window in the room. The smell in the room from day 1 to day 4. The constant smell of cigarette from 6am to 11pm in the corridor, with guests who smoke in the room and leave their door open with TV full sound on and staff does nothing. The worn down condition of the room. The aircon that is freezing cold irrespective of how you set it from 16 to 30 degrees. All the family room are apparently like this... Staff were most of the time useless, but offered a small discount as a compensation, and asked me to cancel my booking.com booking to apply it.

Located at small street where difficult to taxi. No subway / metro near. Room and corridor smelly , toilet smelly , hard to move in room due to big size bed. Overall not good

Location is great, however still 15 mins or so away from a train station. However lots of cool shops around.

Cons:

Shower was terrible, no pressure what's so ever which was really annoying. Bit of a musty smell.

Stay in the heart of Beijing in a simple welcoming hotel which is close to bustling alleys and three subway lines.
Pros:

This hotel has an excellent location and atmosphere, you feel like you are really in Beijing and not in a sterile envelope.

Cons:

I liked everything but if you want luxury this probably is not the hotel for you.

Pros:

In a good location, few minutes from the lake.

Cons:

There is no toilet in the lobby. After you check out you can only go to the street to public. Unfortunetly its very common in Bejing.

Excellent location, accessible to food and metro. Staff are v helpful. Poor Wifi was a minus.
