Had a really good stay here and overall the experience was very comfortable. The host was friendly, respectful, and always helpful whenever needed. The place itself is properly maintained and feels peaceful compared to many crowded PGs.
The bathrooms and restrooms were always clean, which honestly makes a big difference in day-to-day living. All the facilities, including the AC and common areas, were well maintained and worked properly. The location is also very convenient while still being less crowded and calm.
One thing that stood out the most for me was how seriously they take privacy and personal space. There was no unnecessary interference, and the environment felt safe and respectful. It is also very family friendly, with a decent and comfortable atmosphere for everyone staying there.
Overall, it’s a clean, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay without any hassle. A really good option for anyone looking for a peaceful and reliable stay instead of a hotel.
1. The room was spacious and could comfortably fit up to three people.
2. Toiletries and basic beverages were provided, which was convenient.
3. The property is located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, making it suitable for a peaceful stay.
4. It was also easy to get Uber rides from the location.
5. The morning security guard was very professional and helpful whenever assistance was needed, which we appreciated
We had a mixed experience at this property:
1. There was a level of micro-management that felt uncomfortable: for example, we were expected to seek permission even to leave the premises, even when told that we were on a yatra and needed to leave the premises early to beat the rush at Dakniswar Kali Temple.
2. The property owner was initially very pleasant, but the attitude seemed to change after we made the advance payment for the remaining days. Please pay as you stay and do not pay for the day ahead.
3. The night security guard was also quite rude, which added to the discomfort.
4. Communication with the owner was challenging; when concerns were raised, they were addressed with a harsh tone rather than an attempt to understand the situation. This ultimately led us to leave a day early despite having already paid. Our first three days of yatra was completely spoiled on this basis.
5. It was also surprising to be asked for a five-star rating after this experience.
6. On the cleanliness side, the room was dusty, and the blue carpet shed residue that felt uncomfortable underfoot.
7. There are no restaurants nearby and the location is very far from the Dakshineswar Kali temple.
Overall, there are areas that could be improved, especially in terms of guest communication, flexibility, and housekeeping

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Home away from Home in city with Garden View, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the hotel owner was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always eager to assist with anything we needed. Their professionalism and warm hospitality truly made a difference.
The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city’s top attractions. Public transport was conveniently close, and there were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
AC was extra and it was not well advertised that it was extra
Fun neighborhood near Subhash mela, two beds was perfect for my friend and I. Bathroom was clean, room was clean, air conditioning worked well. Accommodating hosts available to answer all questions.
One bed was a bit short for people above 170ish cm.
