Wunderschöne Lage, aber das gewisse Etwas fehlt

Ruhiger Zwischenstopp in schöner Umgebung

Wir haben das Walkersons Hotel & Spa für einen Zwischenstopp genutzt. Besonders gefallen haben uns die ruhige Lage, das bequeme Bett und der wunderschöne Blick aus unserem Zimmer.

Die Anlage ist sauber, gepflegt und mit vielen schönen Blumen gestaltet. Auch die umliegende Landschaft ist wirklich beeindruckend.

Für einen ruhigen Zwischenstopp war es dennoch eine gute Wahl.

Cons:

Allerdings wirkt das Hotel insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen und stellenweise ein wenig ausgestorben.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, hat uns aber nicht besonders überzeugt. In anderen Hotels haben wir schon deutlich besser gegessen.

Auch die Atmosphäre empfanden wir als etwas steif. Uns fehlten ein gewisser Charme, eine angenehme Lockerheit und etwas mehr Lebendigkeit. Auch in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel darf es unserer Meinung nach ruhig etwas ungezwungener zugehen, ohne dass dabei die Eleganz verloren geht.

This is an amazing, must visit, experience. An exceptional hotel with very friendly and professional staff. We felt welcome from the first minute. The location is breathtaking and the facilities are absolutely 5 star. The service and the food are excelkent. We absolutrely enjoyed our stay and will defunitely be back.

A night to remember

Pros:

Breakfast good. Major problem with the small shower cubicle. For any person big person it is very space constrained. The base on the basin vanity slab does not rest on the floor so the retrieval on anything that that is dropped and goes under the base is impossible

Warm, romantic, cosy and exceptional, friendly service.
Pros:

Staff were friendly service was excellent. July is special with the ambiance of open fire places, well maintained in our Room and throughout the sitting areas. Romantic, fabulous room service, lovely.
