großes Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück, sehr gutes Essen
Comfortable room with all you need for a relaxing stay.
Nothing really
Handy for our needs, close to relatives. Food was fine. Room was excellent facilities wise but really expensive.
Very busy parking could be an issue, room cost a bit on the steep side.
very comfortable and reasonable value
breakfast should have been inc £4.25 for a pot of tea with 1 tea bag outrageous
Highdown is a beautiful old house in lovely gardens and the pub had a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The room was very comfortable and clean with everything you need.
There’s nothing I didn’t like!
It states it's a 3 star hotel. I thought it was at least a 4 star plus.
Room exceptionaly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Even had two fans on the go as we walked in which was a lovely touch in this hot weather. Bathrrom spotless and the best shower ever!
We have 2 dogs and they were well looked after with bedding, bowls, and a box of treats each, provided by the hotel. Very thoughtful!
Breakfast and dinner - lots of choice and lovely food served very quickly..
All the staff were polite and friendly. Always attentative to our needs.
The South Downs just a 1 min walk from the hotel which was great for our dogs and the views were amazing.
We loved this hotel so much we booked another holiday here before we left.
Our stay wasn't long enough!
My 86 year old father-in-law was asked to move tables in the garden as it was reserved. No signage. So he declined to move.
A lovely place to spend the weekend. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful and the breakfast was delicious! As an added bonus we also saw the blue plaque dedicated to Mensa at the entrance to the underground. All in all a great weekend
Room very spacious, Breakfast good and the one night we had dinner was good
Unbearably hot no air conditioning and just one fan in the room had difficulty in sleeping,
The breakfast had some pastries out which weren’t covered and had flies all over them so wouldn’t risk eating any of them,
Staff were friendly and the food was good.
Nothing
Food was lovely, tea room was nice.
South Downs walk was gorgeous, chalk gardens were lovely to walk around and explore.
Mentioned to the staff member on checkout regarding the delivery lorry waiting outside the room window for 45 minutes at 7.20am with the engine running, it was very dismissive of the staff member didnt feel like there was a listening ear from her and not an apology. We didn't feel she was interested. However everything else was OK.
Lovely beer garden, good food and pleasant rooms.
Room was very suitable for us as my husband has mobility issues so bathroom with walk in shower was ideal.
We asked for easy access room and we were on ground floor and 1st bedroom so it was perfect.
Liked the decor and tea/coffee facilities.
Beautiful building and surroundings, lovely pub area. Excellent walks nearby with a lovely garden next door. History of the place very interesting. We didn't go to the tea room but it looked very busy and popular. Lovely big bath in the bedroom.
Very remote and difficult to get to if you're not driving. We went to Brighton for the day and the station is certainly walkable but I wouldn't feel safe walking along the road at night.
Alles!! Wat een tof en top hotel met super restaurant op een heerlijke locatie
Echt helemaal niets
