Staff superb. Location superb. Tasting breakfast was exceptional especially the vegan options which were imaginative and perfectly executed. Thank you to all staff for a wonderful experience.
Toilet in room didn’t flush properly. Would have liked an extra lock on door to lock from inside. Used bar of soap in shower. These are just very minor niggles as we found the whole stay lovely.
Fantastic location property has lots of character
If I was to make a suggestion it would be that there needs to be more than one half used toilet roll in the bathroom and the tea tray could of been stocked up more liberally
These are just observations for improvement as we had a lovely couple of days and would book again
The lovely room at the top of the hotel was an excellent size, with a large bathroom too. Comfy bed.

Noisy when guests in lounge
The staff were very attentive and helpful. Just a shame that they are not serving food other than breakfast. We arrived the day after serving their last evening meal so snacks were thin on the ground. It is our favourite hotel at the moment and I do hope they serve meals/ lunch or light bites in the future.

Fabulous old hotel, located right opposite the magnificent Ripon cathedral. The hotel and indeed Ripon is like a different world where everybody is super friendly. Our room was excellent, huge room, high ceiling, clean, comfortable and with en suite bathtub. To top it all off, the breakfast was exceptional - so refreshing when so many other hotels are dropping the inclusive breakfasts. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, try it.

All staff very friendly, helpful, felt like they really cared about the hotel and everyone's stay. Building and character wonderful peaceful despite being in right in the middle of the city. Rooms very spacious and comfortable, lovely outside areas. Room well cooled as it was very hot when we stayed
Room 3 had a damp patch on the ceiling, the area around the toilet could be covered up better. Maybe decorative tiles on the area around the bath, wouId make an extra wow. I'm being really picky, none of those things took away the wow factor we felt

Beautiful 17C building tastefully decorated to reflect its age and quirky character inside the gardens are stunning and the car parking is a bonus given its very central location. The breakfast was a true dinning experience of a continental taster and then hot English breakfast taster everything was home made with quality ingredients. Staff were so friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Nothing. It was quirky, so you need to be ok with uneven floors and rattling window shutters.
