Das Hotel war sehr schön mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstück war super und hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen.
Leider war der Balkon direkt neben einer Lüftungsanlage, was sehr laut war
Great stay with a toddler, clean, friendly helpful staff and great facilities - we used the pool and play barn. Lovely breakfast and dinner menu. Great to be able to use facilities after checkout too.
Excellent customer service from all staff, very attentive, polite and friendly. Clean rooms throughout the hotel and excellent food
Nothing!
Family friendly hotel where staff are understanding of misbehaving kids, particularly in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner! The playbarn was brilliant for rainy days.
Indoor swimming pool temperature was a bit cold.
The staff, location and food
Nespresso machines make awful coffee and there was no alternative
Staff were incredible. Really attentive.
Many hotels make the mistake of putting piped music through the speakers all the time. Moonfleet is run by more intelligent people who realise that for most of the day it is not necessary and quiet calm is much better. Moonfleet also leaves one lounge completely quiet so that you can read or talk in peace. For the children there is a noisy playroom with a big screen, fine, no problem, keeps the kids amused. The rooms have been seriously upgraded in recent years and are very comfortable, excellent showers etc. Staff are as good as ever, they work really hard to give you a great time.
There is really nothing to criticise but if you think really hard, one small improvement to consider over time might be to put in a shower next to the swimming pool so as to encourage everyone to shower before jumping in. That might mean some thinking about the arrangements, not so easy, but perhaps there is a way. One other small thing and I mean really small is to be able to walk from the main building to the swimming pool without picking up stones in your slippers. That is how good Moonfleet is that you have to come up with some ridiculously small item to find fault.

The price per wine service
A fabulous hotel, especially for families, with so much to do for all ages. We were extremely impressed throughout our stay.
Indoor swimming pools, very large games room. Including indoor footy pitch. Trampolines, snooker, soft play, video games. All free. Dinosaur Golf. Escape rooms, the list goes on.
The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean, with thoughtful touches like tea and coffee facilities and a handy under-counter fridge. The large en-suites were an added bonus.
Breakfasts were lovely, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful—even the maintenance team. When we reported an issue with the toilet flush at breakfast, it was fixed before we returned to our room. The level of customer service was truly outstanding.
We absolutely recommend this hotel. 😀
Everything was fabulous
Very good breakfast, buffet style for continental breakfast and order a cooked breakfast.
The pool was closed and only opened for few hours for our last day. Also it closed at 6:00pm rather than 8:00pm as advertised. It would be great if they could provide boat access to Chesil beach from the hotel as you need to drive to the near town.
A really brilliant family friendly hotel - loads to do for kids and a really special stay. The play barn is fantastic and my little boys really enjoyed the pool. Our beds were comfy and the shower was fantastic. Loads of things to do in the local area.
Generally the staff were fantastic, a lot of younger members of the team who seem really switched on and understanding of how children act. However, my partner had a last minute meeting put into the diary and that meant it was going to be a push to check out for 11am. I asked the lady at reception if we could leave at 11:30 - she asked for our room names and she felt the need to curtly correct the way that I said "Clement". I can move on from that however then she states that they would not be able to accommodate an extra 30 mins unless they charge me? So having paid £450 for one night and spent an extra £220 on food & drinks at the hotel, they cannot accommodate an extra 30 minutes? Understandable if this is hotel policy - but I do wonder if the matron attitude is also hotel policy?
On check out, I did highlight that there was grit in the bed sheets from previous guests when it came to us going to bed. Darren who checked me out was apologetic and lovely.
Most of the staff were excellent! Reese, Dana, Karen and Darren in particular. The location can’t be any better.
The food was largely ok. If you’re staying for a week, the menu doesn’t change so it gets repetitive quickly. Our room was excellent. The grounds, lounges and restaurant are nice but some parts of the hotel have aged badly. If the walkways to the amenities; games room, spa, pool, weren’t painted a nice colour, they would’ve been quite bad. Crazy golf should be taken down and rebuilt.
A child friendly hotel, where children are the heart.
All food was excellent - we loved it. Great for the dog
